Meg 2: The Trench (2023)

Madness

I went into this with my 7yr old as he loves the 1st one. It started off all serious but then just descended into absolute madness and I was all for it lol.

Dinosaurs, Sharks, baddies and yes Pippen was back lol. Jason Statham was his usual charming self, the supporting cast who made it out the trench were funny too. I'm not sure why it was called the Meg 2, The Trench though as there was hardly any Megs until the last 30mins and they didn't spend that long in the Trench.

This was just 2 hrs just to switch off and not have to think about anything.

If you want total escapism and action packed adventure with all sorts thrown at you then you'll love this film.

First 3 seasons were amazing. I loved it. S4 is just so boring. I really want to like it but all the characters are so unlikeable and the storyline is awful. Kate as the love interest?? . I just didn't get it. To go from the other women he was obsessed with to her makes no sense what so ever!. She had no redeeming qualities at all and had the personality of a mop.

Im Only on episode 6 and and would really love to finish what I started but I find myself drifting off or looking at my Phone and that's when I know it's lost on me.

I hope there is a s5 and it's back in the USA and has more interesting characters because this is utter gash!.

The Midnight Club (2022)

I was excited for this to start after reading what it was all about and enjoying Hill House. Bly Manor and Midnight Mass.

It starts off OK then just goes seriously downhill from there.

It goes off tangent and just becomes very very weird and hard to follow.

I watched all 10 episodes and I really don't know why I bothered. It was beyond boring and it really is a shame as it could have have been soooo much better.

I found I only actually cared about 2 of the characters as the rest were just very blah and unlikeable.

Do yourself a favour and give this a miss and don't get sucked in like I did waiting for it to get better because it really doesn't.

Wasn't expecting to like this as much but I've binged 4 episodes already. Interesting plots and characters. So glad of a great new show to watch on cold miserable nights!

I really enjoyed this film up until the last 5 mins. I feel totally robbed of an ending!. It left me without answers and I feel really annoyed, such a waste of a good film.

I thought this was a great film. Had a Goosebumps vibe the whole way through. I know when I enjoy something because I don't switch off and start looking at my phone lol.

I love Anne Hathaway but this was so disappointing. Strayed too far from the book and original. My little boy loves the original film but was scared of Anne's mouth. They shouldn't have messed with a classic!

Lady and the Tramp (2019)

I'm sorry but whoever voiced Lady was the wrong choice. Lady was supposed to be be soft and gentle and this just bugged me the entire film!!! My 5yr old son however didn't care and loved it. He hasn't seen the original.

I was really enjoying this film up until the whole miscarriage thing, just left a bitter taste in my mouth. Was funny and loved all the actors but there are certain things that just shouldn't be joked about.

My 4 Yr old cried most of the way through this as it was too sad for him. Yes the original was sad but this was one drama after another, where was the Disney magic??. Also The little girl in the film was wooden and couldn't act at all and ruined it for me!!!

Sitting watching this during lock down as I'm bored and it's not all bad. The acting is crap and it's hilarious how the detective is meant to be the same age as them because she looks like she could be their mother!!! Also i don't get why she has so much beef with the main character when she was the one who had the affair with the main characters husband lol?! But all that aside it killed an hr and a half lol.

Nearly didn't watch this after reading all the reviews. Yes it was cheesy and the effects were crap but it wasn't as bad as people are making out lol. It passed the time and I wasn't bored so was worth the watch.

I don't understand all the poor ratings, I really enjoyed this. People expect so many jump scares now that they don't appreciate build ups. I felt tense for the most part of this film and thought it was a great story and a really good cast.

Hate to say this as I LOVE Sandra Bullock but God this film was dire!!!! I was so bored from start to end!!!. I wanted to turn it off after 30mins but I always have to finish a film I start to see what happens even if I hate it lol. Wasted nearly 2 hrs of my life!!

I wanted to turn this film off after 30mins but my husband is the kind of person that when you start watching something he has to see it through no matter how bad it is!!!

The story, acting and filming of this was terrible!!!, I can't believe some of these actors actually took part in this disaster. It was slow and boring as hell, don't do it people!!!

The whole way through the film the nanny was obsessed with the 4yr old girl. At the end when the parents were locked in the laundry room with the baby why did the nanny bang on the door for 10 minutes wanting in when she could have just looked for the girl and left with her????!!!!. Stupid film!.

Great Childhood Memories

I LOVED this film when I was little and hadn't seen it in years and made my husband watch it recently lol.

Needless to say he lasted 10 minutes but for me it brought back so many happy memories as I watched this film over and over when i was younger. I remember it being a little scary and also I was desperate to be Lisa!! (Drew Barrymores character).

Yes this had really bad acting etc but it is also very endearing and has some great moments in it.

I was also surprised I remembered the words to all the songs (so bad they were good lol). Give this film a go especially if you have kids :-)
