After Everything (2023)
Constructive criticism
The element that makes these film's special is the two main leads groundbreaking chemistry. It is something special and unique. This film is missing that spark as Mimi Keene and Hero just don't have the same on screen presence or connection.
The landscape and setting is stunning and brings something to the story. Hero's acting was 10/10 and really potrated how much Hardin is struggling to get over losing the love of his life.
There is a completely unnecessary sex scene which I found insulting. That is not the main attraction for fans of these films. It added nothing to the story and looked sloppy and awkward.
The ending is absolutely beautiful although it feels as though there is something missing from the story.
After Ever Happy (2022)
Wow
This movie was even better than I imagined. I knew it would be good because they did a great job with AWF. Hero playing Hardin trying to deal with his past and overcome it was done in such an authentic way. Their chemistry is once in a lifetime and once again, blew me away. Music is beautiful also.
First Love (2022)
Something missing
I'm a huge fan of the After series so when I heard Hero had a new movie out, I had to go and watch. Hero really carries this film and I was impressed with his range as an actor. Diane Kruger was fantastic as always. There was however something missing between the two romantic leads as others have pointed out. It's a shame the chemistry was lacking a little, but overall an enjoyable movie!

When are people going to understand book adaptions
Couldn't have asked for more from this film. You can tell it was directed by someone who truly understood the books.
Frustrated that yet again people are judging it for not being able to include every aspect of the book. That is simply not possible and I love the way they adapted the story. There is also still a part 4 to come where they will further explore some of the storylines!
Hero's performance was a stand out for me.
