Coming of age at 30
9 March 2024
I truly enjoyed this little series, in total only about the length of a single feature movie. Friendship and love life and coming of (middle) age around 30 is being scrutinized and unfolded here. The story is quite elegantly told in a way that we think we are watching a love triangle, looking for and expecting a romance to take off - while what we really witness is a life long male friendship under some major transformation. Overall, the dialogue is strong, economical and precise and the three key characters all come across convincingly. They come to life in what is spoken as well as what is indeed left unspoken. Situations are realistic throughout, dilemmas are easily relatable. Comes with an urban poetic charm.

Solid serving of bitter brew
31 July 2023
Classic theatrical performance of Pirandello's tragicomical play about a poor and lonely girl - Lily Weiding - being exploited over and over. Before as well as after a desperate suicide attempt. A bitter portrait of the human kindhood. Every person only have his or her own interests at heart and they all bend the truth and form their own perceptions of events accordingly. Nice tempo. Acts are all pretty solid, however somewhat unremarkable except from a sparkling Erik Mørk. The original action was set in Rome 1920 but seems to have been transformed to recent times, even a car accident is heard from the street.
