Operation Delta Force (1997)
The movie that launched the "Operation Delta Force" series.
I believe its been awhile since I've since the original "Operation Delta Force". I believe the director of the movie was so personally disappointed with "Delta Force 3" that "Operation Delta Force" is what "Delta Force 3" SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
It's just as fun and entertaining as the four sequels that came after.
And a personal thanks to Imdb tv for making this movie (and the rest of the series) available on their site. Since the orignal was never released on DVD in the united states.
As a fan of this series I hope the entire "Operation Delta Force" movie series gets some kind of a dvd\blu-ray (possibly re-mastering) in the future ASAP. I LOVE THESE MOVIES!!
Talk about the king of Direct-to-video popcorn action movie series of happy comfort food movies!
Operation Delta Force 5: Random Fire (2000)
Random Fire is the weakest of the operation delta force movies but still fun
Operation Delta Force 5: Random Fire is the weakest of the operation delta Force movies. But it's still fun. It was interesting to see the team this time deal with a villian who uses mind control to turn people into suicide bombers.
The leader of the team seem more in focus this time around. With the rest of them kinda just there, while the previous installments that I've seen felt more like a team movie\ story.
Still it definitely delivers the direct to video popcorn action you would expect from this franchise.
He's All That (2021)
Rare case of a remake ( I thought) was better than the 1999 original.
I get this out of the way the original "She's All That" was not a good movie. And the story isn't very good period, even in the remake BUT...I do think the remake does more with the thin material than the original 1999 movie did. That was probably one of the worse teen comedies of the 90s I ever saw in theaters. I would've had more fun seeing this. But netflix will have to do. The cast of the original was the only thing it had going for it. The remake suprisingly has a better setting.
The post "family vaule 98" MTV generation period was a weird backdrop for the original. Making it flat, cynical, mean-spirted, and just kinda lame.
Setting the remake in the tik\tok- instragam generation actually made for a more interesting backdrop and plays to being a character itself \story device (and an effective one) for the netflix remake. Plus this one was high on energy and some humor ( unlike the original.)
