Brightburn (2019)
Some creative and true scary horror, but major unfortunate things
To be honest, I hated this movie. Here's the one whole reason why, all summed to just one large reason:
The movie is incredibly dark and sadistic!!!! A fine farmer couple raise a mysterious humanoid alien boy who crash-lands on planet Earth in a life pod, and the couple names the humanoid alien boy Brandon. They all become a good and happy family for several years until Brandon hits puberty and begins to be controlled by evil demonic forces that cause him to literally kill his loving parents and other fine people, kills some innocent farm animals on the farm, and is then on the loose and rampages the whole land, and he isn't punished for ANY of it, no justice! Brandon was a good kid but is no longer himself and is now turned into an evil monster from these evil forces, and after how his adoptive parents tried so hard to raise him well, and the movie just ends this way with a couple things left unexplained, with the credits showing more of Brandon committing crimes on the TV news. And plus, some things in the movie were unnecessarily disturbing.
Now for the things I like about the movie:
1. It's a bit creative where in another universe, what if Superman goes from a good, cool, and heroic superhero to an evil and horrifying supervillain?
2. The movie has creative ideas of horror that can really scare you.
3. The special effects are great.
Results of my opinion:
That leaves 3 qualities I like about this movie, but one very major quality I hate. In summary, I hate this movie for its extreme darkness, sadness, and some unnecessary disturbing things.
Sing (2016)
Fine movie but feels like there isn't very much to it.
I don't really care for this movie, but its fine. Some good comedy and a couple scenes of action, and some lesson teaching such as being brave and facing fears. But I feel like this movie was mostly just an excuse to play popular songs and basically advertise them.
The Banana Splits Movie (2019)
Not very good to me at all....
I really didn't like this movie at all. I have mostly and almost only just negative things to say about this movie. Here's a numbered list of why I didn't like this movie at all:
1. I don't find this movie very creative or unique to me, as well as the plot is not that creative, unique, or even interesting either. The movie is adapted from a classic kids show that started in the 1960's, and they make a random horror movie of it where all they mainly do is murder people and kidnap kids to force them to watch a show? I mean, it's a little bit creative since it is a movie shows what if the Banana Splits gang were actually secretly robots, but that's all as far as creativity and uniqueness goes.
2. Almost all the special effects are bad. The Banana Splits gang in the movie are supposed to be robots disguised as people in costumes, but in the movie, they ACTUALLY look completely like people in costumes who, in my opinion, didn't even act or move like actual robots, but they tried but not realistically like a robot. At least they make some realistic robot sounds, but that's it. However, the special effects to everything else is bad, too, for example, in one scene you can kind of easily see they used greenscreen behind the scenes. Only some of the gory violence
looks good.
3. The movie is supposed to be a horror movie, but isn't even scary. Just disturbing, messed up, and sadistic.
Just remember that everyone has different thoughts an opinions. Just because I think these things about the movie doesn't mean you will, too. I would tell someone about this movie but probably won't recommend.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015)
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015) is one of my favorite movies ever!!!!
I love this movie a lot and is one of my favorite movies, and for several reasons!!!! Here are all the reasons below:
1. One of the major reasons why I love this movie is because there is so much to happen that really makes the movie interesting and exciting! For example, SpongeBob and his friends go on an adventure to the human's land and become super heroes with all sorts of super powers based on their species and personalities! SpongeBob has a magical flexible bubble wand hat that allows him to blow and create all sorts of bubbles to do all sorts of things like even fly, pick things up with the bubbles, make tsunamis of bubbles and soap, and so much more. There's also Squidward, who has his powerful clarinet to play and blow storms of loud, powerful winds and music with powerful soundwaves, Patrick, who has telekinesis to lift ice cream and ice cream cones, Mr. Krabs, who is a robot with robot-and-machine-related abilities, Sandy, who is an enormous live-action squirrel in a real squirrel's real form with squirrel abilities, and last but not least, Plankton, who is basically a Hulk, who all fight against Burger Beard, a human pirate with a huge pirate ship on wheels called the Burgermobile and its own special abilities, and the list goes on with so much other great things to happen.
2. The movie has action, adventure, and comedy with creative ideas of comedy that's very enjoyable.
3. Great special effects and everything looks good.
4. The movie has both animation and live-action, so if you like and/or prefer only one or the other, or both, this movie has them both!
5. A creative movie with a creative story where the SpongeBob characters become superheroes with super powers based on there species and personalities, along with the other stuff I said earlier, and so much more to it.
6. finally, the movie teaches good lessons such as teamwork. Plus, the movie is appropriate for all ages, and fun for the whole family, as well as a movie everyone, of all ages, can enjoy!
I have nothing negative to say about this movie, that's how good it is to me! I definitely recommend!
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Epic Movie! One of my top favorites!
The second paragraph of this review has spoilers, but the first paragraph does not. I really loved this movie, and for several different reasons! The reasons may be a bit hard to explain, but they're, of course, positive, and I'll try my hardest to explain in a moment! Most people don't like this movie mainly because they think it had bad acting, and because the movie was more like a ginormous commercial rather than an actual movie with story, but those are almost the only 2 major problems, and besides, it was more of just like showing ads in the background than like fully showing a commercial, therefore I didn't care and almost didn't notice until lots of people been saying stuff about it, and most people may not notice, too. But, or "and", this doesn't make it bad, at least not completely. There was still lots of great things about this movie, such as life lessons, comedy, action, adventure, other awesome and interesting things that happen, and so much more! There is even a large combination of live-action and animation with great CGI and special effects! This movie is family-friendly as well. Take a look at paragraph 2 for more examples, but they may have spoilers. The reason why I give 9 stars instead of 10 is because of a couple small problems, and I feel like the movie could've been a bit more somewhat better, but yeah.
One of the reasons I love this movie is because of its surprising special effects, along with both animation and live-action with CGI combined! So if you only like one or the other, or both, this movie can be for all of them. And another, is that. In the movie, the main-key character of the movie, Lebron, goes on an epic adventure through a computer-like universe of many different movie and TV show planets and worlds, called the Server-verse with the Looney Toons characters to get the gang back together since they were separated, and once they were all back together, they later, have an epic whole-new-level game of basketball, and must win if Lebron is going to go back home and the Looney Toons characters not to get deleted, they play against an enemy team, called the Goon Squad, with each player in that team with their own elemental abilities and powers, and the Looney Toons characters using their abilities as well. So basically, has an epic and, somewhat, unpredictable plot (In some ways at least)! It is also like an enormous crossover of hundreds of different kinds of characters and cameos! This movie also has a fine amount of life lessons as well, like, for example, Lebron developing a better relationship between him and his son from certain things. This movie is full of all sorts of great things, but it has too much hate and I wished that it had more love, and that people would focus more on the movie's good things and elements it provides. I love this movie and may never forget it! (Please, God, let there be more love for this movie, or in the future or something, at least!!!!) It is NOT complete garbage.
Independence Day (1996)
Okay movie, but has a few problems in my opinion.
It was okay. It was a kind of cool and interesting movie. But there was a few things I didn't like about it, and here's a numbered list of why, and warning, this may contain a little bit of spoilers:
1. It wasn't exciting enough, there wasn't enough action, at least for me. Either that or the action just needed to be more exciting, and some random boring scenes here and there.
2. The special effects were good, maybe at least for its time. But the special effects for the alien creatures were not that good, they kind of looked like some kind of puppets.
3. There was one scene where a guy said to his dad that smoking is not healthy, and I was very happy he said that, until later he smoked for himself and liked it, and his dad eventually comes by and sees him smoking and says "What happened to smoking is not healthy", and than he says happily that he can get used it. I was furious on the inside when that happened. I want people to quit smoking, not to continue to smoke or want to! A kid or just someone regardless might get inspired to smoke by this. That is a maybe, and probably not, but possible.
