Millennium Bugs (2020)
The pure essence of 90's Indie Films. Viva Indie!
If you love Indie Film, I highly recommend this film. Alejandro Montoya Marin once again shows his skills with this well written and directed film. The two main characters, Kelly and Miguel are brilliantly acted by Katy Erin and Michael Lovato and really capture the angst, existentialism, and humor of living in your twenties while set against the backdrop of a potential apocalypse from the Y2K computer bug. In it's own quirky way, it shows depth of emotion and the importance of friendships during one of the most transformative times of anyone's life, let alone during the risk of an impending apocalypse.

Clerks III (2022)
This film IS supposed to be here today
Clerks III was a fantastic tie-off for the Clerks Trilogy. It had all the elements we View Askewers crave -- Off color jokes, Pop culture references, existential angst, and self-deprecating humor. However, this time Mr. Smith reached into our collective chest cavities and went for our hearts. He grabbed them, massaged them, ripped them out, but then lovingly put them back in leaving us all to heal each in our own way. Being part of the same generation, personally I was able to identify with the main characters as I always have throughout the previous films, and that may be why the emotions hit so hard. I adore these films and will shout their praises from every mountain top until the day I die. The biggest take away from this one is--- life is short, enjoy the crud out of it, don't live your life working towards an incredible Act III, savor every line of the first 2 Acts and I guarantee you; your Act III will be amazing. You ARE supposed to be here today.
P. S. --Now that there is an original trilogy, I wonder if there will be a prequel trilogy? What say you Mr. Smith?
