The Acolyte: Day (2024)
That ending was so cool.
Well, i am not a hater, i actually liked the episode, actually after watching the episode i watched a clip with C. J. from Baywatch and i instantly felt like watching a real good sci-fi show (TheTwilight Zone, The X Files, Deep Space Nine, TNG, SAAB or B5) back in the 90's. The big problem of this series and of other series from Sci-fi genre from now, is the fact they are not made for their fans. To be more specific, probably the main fanbase of Star Wars it is compound from straight people and straight guys, in general, that kind who, at the end of the day all they want is to see some action and less lgtb content. Probably the only guys capable to do something likeable for them are we, the fans, so the best thing for them is to hire fans for writing the story. In my opinion Disney should have a contest for writing and the winner could become responsable for writing the series, because only one of them could understand them.
The Acolyte: Revenge/Justice (2024)
This is an improvement after the first one
Well, the good part is the lack of the cringe moments from the first episode and i really loved to see that fight scene and even if some 'fans' aren't so pleased, i find that karate style to be great and i would want to ask the ones who don't like that style if they wouldn't be tired in the end seeing just the same light sabers fights repeating in every episode or movie. The story seems to getting better and even the acting seems to be better too. To be clear, this show is pretty good in its own way, but i think all the hate comes from the so called Star Wars youtube influencers who are never pleased with anything and who want more subscribers for just money, trashing everything and from mass media who exagerates and twists every declaration of the producers for money and fame too. I just don't think there is a evil force behind the producers of Star Wars show who seeks to destroy the old fanbase, because the series it is being made mainly for the fans and i don't believe K. K. is some kind of evil lady who hates the fans.
The Acolyte: Lost/Found (2024)
This is a fresh take of the franchise
Well, te things i like from this series are the visual fx, the fact that, for the firsy time in live action they explore the world of SW and the jedi from a different perspective and from a timeline full of jedi as we fans always wanted to see and i like to see another sith lord (in a live action), because not even the latest trilogy had the courage to do so,i mean Darth Sidious and his aprentices are great villains but it was the time to se something fresh and i really like that and the new sith lord (i presume) is looking pretty good, he is not goofy at all, like Snoke was. The bad things are the weird haircut of the two sisters, because it follows the trend of Star Trek Discovery or Foundation or Wakanda blah blah blah, to make the black girls to look as ugly and as cringe as possible and that poem, for gods sake, that was as cringe as seeing the villain from Kenobi screaming and that Orion bald jedi old girl, by the name of God, that was cringe as well, but i think the show is not as bad as some people are sustain it is. My advice is to hire the chinese people who made the original Third body (San ti) or someone from a former comunist country to write, because it is clearly the americans totally forgot how to write a good story, the days of shows like The X files or Space above and beyond are long gone, they totally lost their mojo.
Stargate: Atlantis (2004)
This show is the best sci-fi show you can watch
I am a big fan of Stargate shows, but, even if everybody recommends this show, i always thought it can be better than the other two, but, after seeing this show for the second time, i was speechless, i cannot believ how great this show can be, it isce en more watchable than Babylon 5 or even Battlestar Gallactica, i mean tbe thow looks even better which eachcyear that goes by and it marks my return to my real origins as a sci fi fanthis show keeps alive tbe golden era of sci fi television series, because this one was one of the last ones. I even quit drinking alchool and watching porn since i started seeing this series again, because it reminds me very much about those better times of my life. This is better than a good medicine and it is a real miracle for me. I give it 10/10 stars without any doubts.
Ahsoka: Part Seven: Dreams and Madness (2023)
This is a very good episode
I really liked this episode, it was fun ans fast paced and i really liked the cameos, even if on certain parts i would liked to see some things treated with more maturity, like Tony Gilroy did in Andor, for example the part with Hera's trial seems a little too rushed and i always wonder why this kind of things are happening ,like why everybody seems to get away so easy with murder and treason or not follow the orders and other things like avoiding to tell anything at all about how the Sith lords have so much money and so much power to finance a whole intergalactic war or seeing bombs making sounds and exploding in the space, this is so hilarious and makes everything to look so outdated and this will make the younger generation to want to skip the franchise, this is happening even since The Expanse appeared, and i saw the same mistake even in Star Trek Strange New Worlds. I mean it, many people will not be very pleased, but excepting those pretty silly mistakes, this episode was a great one.
Ahsoka: Part Six: Far, Far Away (2023)
This is something new
Well, this series seem to become better with each episode that goes by and this one is a great one, because the big bad guy is here and it is a pretty good one, totally different from Palpatine or Vader, for the fans who are not into computer generated cartoons, just like me, it was quite a shock, i expected to see someone like Gul Dukat or like the bad guy from Star Trek Insurection, someone very imposant, sneaky and scary, full of rage like a devil, just like Hellboy or just like Palpatine was the reincarnation of the Death in The return of the Jedi, a scary horror figure from the ancient legends in a sci fi futuristic movie, which was mindblowing, but Thrawn is not like that, a thing which was frustrating for me in the first scenes, because i am not very familiar with the character, but at least he is an original one and way better than Snoke which looks like an old giant grumpy guy, like a zombie king or something and i like to see the Star Wars universe to be expanded with the Other Rim and other unknown distant places, it is becoming the perfect replacement for B5 or Deep Space Nine and this it will make much more sci fi fans to become interested by the Star Wars saga and i sincerely hope to see even more Star Wars shows and episodes in the future doing this kind of new things.
Ahsoka: Part Five: Shadow Warrior (2023)
The episode was soooo awesome !!!
Well, this is why i like Star Wars tv series, just when you will expect the least, one
episode as perfect as this one appears and it will blow your mind. This episode had everything, a good story, good music, spectacular visuals, great acting and a heavy throwback connection, if this is not a Real Good Star Wars episode, then we will never see something better for this saga. I really would like to know who had the ideea to do this episode because it is absolutely gorgeous. As a fan, or even as a casual one, you must see this episode, i would love to say more but i just don't want to spoil this episode not even a bit. Just go ahead and watch it and i assure you, you will regret nothing.
Ahsoka: Part Four: Fallen Jedi (2023)
The best episode ever
On the internet everybody talks now about how huge was the ending of this episode, but for me, this one was excellent from the first scene until the end. I expected, just like the others to see something like that in the series, because of the rumors of the Star Wars influencers from the internet, but even so, this was so unexpected and so cool. This kind of the episode is what we expect to see in a Star Wars tv series and i really loved how they are connecting the entire franchise, it remembers me about the golden era of sci fi on television when we had Stargate and Star Trek on each week, this episode was so good, i'm totally speechless !
Ahsoka: Part Three: Time to Fly (2023)
The Stargate vibe really rocks!
I really loved this episode, but if this show would have been made back in the late 90's, would have been at least about 50 minutes long, would have been a complex episode, with a mature story, just like the Prometheus episodes from Stargate SG-1, Andromeda or the last seasons of Star Trek Deep Space Nine and this series hould have been made from 22 episodes per season. I like this show, but it is the time for the creators of this series to treat us like some adult persons, because this cartoon like dumb short style, which was great in the Mandalorian, because it practically returned Star Wars to the simple and superb original style of the first trilogy, it doesn't work anymore, we need suspense, we need mystery, we need mature heroes and a mature story, made for grown ups.
Ahsoka: Part One: Master and Apprentice (2023)
A good start
This start is a pretty solid one IMHO, i like the characters, even if, again, the lack of a strong younger male character seems to become problematic, i mean that i like what D. F. and J. F. are doing for Star Wars but i miss that tone from the 90's and the beggining of 00's from any sci fi tv series, were at least two strong and sexy, why not, male and female were a rule from the start (Fox and Scully, Hunt and Rommie, O'Neil and Carter, Bashir and Dax, Seven and Paris,Troy and Riker..) because it was easy to relate to them, i think that is a huge problem of this era, it makes the series to look so neutered, but the episode was great, i like the Predator like music, ever since i saw a good Star Wars fan-made movie with a Predator i whised to see one in the franchise( lol ) and it is not so hard for a casual fan to understand the characters, even without a clue about them, the visuals are great, better than 90% from blockbuster movies older that 10 years and the story is a pretty good one, maybe this is not a hard sci fi tv series like Andor was, but it is a very strong one and i hope they will not become reckless with this one over the time, like they did with a bigger part from the 3rd season of The Mandalorian. - Peace!
Ahsoka: Part Two: Toil and Trouble (2023)
I love it
I am not a fanboy or not even a super hardcore Star Wars fan, because i could never get into computer generated animation from the animared tv series (i am a fan of 90's Disney classic style of animation, Batman TAS or Japanese '90's style), i was more of a trekkie back in the 90's, so i have no reason to lie or to overrate this episode, but it is a pretty decent episode for Star Wars as a franchise, probably this would never be enough to please the fans of Star Wars' more cerebral books from the legends, but i really had a great time watching the episode because i just love to see a great light swords battle, the last ones from the sequel trilogy were not too great and not even the ones from Kenobi were not very spectacular and the ones drom Mando were great but were something very rare, i love to see the Jedi and ( i hope) even a Sith lord , ( i remember how much i liked the order 66 scene with Grogu) and i like to see a funny scene with a droid from time to time and in this episode the dumb scenes are totally missing.
Ahsoka (2023)
True Star Wars
Finally, we have a Star Wars tv show with light sabers and Jedi, with other characters than the ones from the movies. I was surprised by the quality of the series and i'm actually dissapointed by the harsh reviews, even if the main fanbase seems to love the series, because it has already a very strong rating, but i think there are some 'fans' which can't be never pleased, because the series is not either too slow paced or too superficial, i was very baffled to read this in the reviews. My favorite character until now is Sabine because she is so cute and hot, but the cat and the droid are great too and the main theme is great even if i think the start of the song should be more repetitive, you know, like the ones from Star Trek Voyager or Star Trek Deep Space Nine because i would loved to learn it. Probably a strong young and handsome male main character would be a great addition for the show, just watch the Rebel Moon trailer and you will get the ideea, but we already had Andor so a little diversity it is not a such a bad thing. I'm blown away until now by this great epic tv series and let's not forget the landscapes and the sets which are absolutely spectacular.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Hegemony (2023)
That is a classic one
Probably this is one of the greatest episodes in the recent years and without no doubt one of my favorites of all times and it looks exactely as i wanted this series to be,it is scary, it has tension, a good story, good visual fx and i can sincerly tell i liked this episode as much i liked the two parters episodes from TNG, DS 9, or Voyager, the only issue with this episode it is the age of Scotty, i always thought he is the oldest character from the original crew, not the youngest and this seems to be another deviation from the original story which is another reason for the producers to put SNW in a different timeline, just to please the fans, but anyway the episode is a very good one, even if it was a predictible one, because we knew from the trailers that the gorns should be in at least one episode and probably the last from the season was the more suitable one. This episode really deserves its 10 stars.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Under the Cloak of War (2023)
This was a good episode.
Probably many of the fans will complain about the lack of subordonation and probably a lack of maturisation of the punk girl (in TNG only the worse charaters were behaving like that, excepting Worf because it was a part of his charm) and they were always punished by the captains in a form or other, but this is a pretty original take of this kind of situation and it shows how much the Federation evolved between pre TOS era and TNG era and beyond and probably it shows why why Kirk would be the final captain of Enterprise1701, but Pike has a pretty serious reason to be so understanding, he knows his day at the helm of the ship are numbered and he is really living every second at the full intensity. I think the only thing that is a little off in this one is to see those plastic faces of the Klingons from Discovery and even of Andorians, that was a little cringe and i thought they dropped the redesigned model and costumes for the Klingons.
San ti: Episode #1.29 (2023)
Jaw dropping indeed
This tv series remains absutely fascinating because the scientific concepts the author uses are something new and original. Well it is true that using the murdderes as the crew for the ship was a little bit forced, but doing a thing like that, sliceing the ship with the whole crew just to save humanity it doesn't need any kind of escuses,it was a small sacrifice just to avoid total anihilation of the human race or like Spock would say, the needs of many outweights the needs of the few,but i think the producers wanted just to underline the fact we are not all the bad guys and the humanity still deserve to be saved. I actually like the ideea of a global unity in the front of this kind of threat, maybe is not as dark as some people are want it to be, but i like the ideea that the human race can stand united, disergarding the political differences, race and religions.
San ti: Episode #1.26 (2023)
This show is absolutely amazing
This tv show has a unique quality i never saw in a serialized drama : every episode is different even they are telling the same story with the same characters, take as an example the last two episodes, they are different as the night and rhe day, but they have the same quality, the episodes are switching from a good futuristic police story to a nostalgic reminescence of the past, from war to the best of the human kind, from cities to the mountains and stars, it still manages to make me to remain with my jaw dropping at the end of each of the episodes and the actors are so good i could easely see them in a movie with chances for an Oscar.
San ti: Episode #1.24 (2023)
This is from another higher level of thinking
I love whow they managed to combine the timelines of the stories so perfect and to be honest, i never used my brain so much on understanding something so complex since i was a student. I watched an episode from Foundation season 2 tv series most recently and i must say Founation, even it is being made with a huge budget and it is from a paid platform it liooks like a pale carbon copy of another trashy tv series which is Star Trek Discovery and those two combined with the hideous trailer of The three body problem from Netflix are not even on the half of the quality of a single eipsode from the chinese tv version and what i like the most it is hearing the actors from Three Body saying how much fun they had filming this series on Youtube.-It is such a great show !!!
Foundation: In Seldon's Shadow (2023)
A guide about how to ruin a masterpiece
Well, in the first episode from this season you can see a guy makes love with a weird female version of the greatest android character of all times, before his wedding with a real woman, a mouth to mouth saving operation between a weird girl with a chicken haircut and her younger teenage mother (they were sex switching characters too) who considers her almost sexual moves as inapropiate and they even discuss about this, you know like two lovers you after a sex party and we also have an old guy screaming nonsensical words like a drunk dude. That is Foundation in the eyes of the Hollywood writers and producers. IMHO the writers from Hollywood should be all fired, because it is obvious they are just a bunch of low class creators. I feel mentally ill after watching this episode. - Do you want to see something great..?... then i invite you to see 3 Body Problem chinese tv series from Tencent youtube channel,it is free to watch, it is even in a 4K version and it has english subtitles, that is a masterpiece made from passion for sci fi genre. I refuse to give a rating to Foundation because it is so low.
San ti: Episode #1.20 (2023)
The X files meets Twin Peaks
This episode brings with it a return of the darker and full of mystery tone from the episodes from the beggining and i like to see how each episode brings a new perspective onf the whole story. The music is great again, it reminds me of the trip-hop era from the late 90's and even the atmosphere of the episode reminds me about those great shows like The X Files, Twin Peaks, Millennium,
The Twilight Zone of the 80's, about everything great from that golden era of television, this is the kind of television series worthy to be broadcasted on the primetime hour, 9 p.m. On the friday night,it is one of the gratest sci fi productions since the late '90's until now.
San ti: Episode #1.19 (2023)
This series is jaw dropping
I am speaking very seriously, my jaw is dropping everytime i see a new episode from this out of nowhere brilliant television series, every episode is different from the others and bring something new to the series and this time, the visuals were the ones which left me asking myself how much they sped to produce this, now i get it, the game looks that way because it is meant to be from 2007 and not because it is a no budget tv series and this episode prooves it because it is absolutely spectacular, this show is such a treat, i love the soundtracks, the directing and the actors and i've heard they had great times filming this series, which is a very great thing.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Charades (2023)
Finally, a (much needed) genuine love story
Well, i will tell this again, SNW deserves it's own timeline (just like the one from Superman&Lois which differs from the one from Supergirl), because it will be a shame to see the love story between nurse Chapel and Spock being ruined, because we know they were not lovers in the original series and once again, the old fans will be revolted if this will be considered the original timeline and the new fans will be dissapointed knowing what's next for those two. I must say, this episode is way much better than i thought it will be, i liked the story, it was a pleasant episode and the fx were spectacular, this was probably one of the best episodes of this series until now.
San ti: Episode #1.18 (2023)
This series is becoming so good
I never felt such a pleasure watcing a science fiction television series since the ending of the first season of Star Wars: Andor, i have the same feelings when i watch this series, the only different thing is this one not being boring at all and to be honest i like to see the chinese society being explored in a such fine way. Wheither you like a mystery drama, a crime tv series or just some good old sci fi story, this series is a must see one, i don't know who directed this episode, but surely is at least at the same level as the best directors on Hollywood, i mean almost 99% from the blockbusters from the present don't reach on such of level of quality and the acting from this series is absolutely amazing.
San ti: Episode #1.17 (2023)
Tha action is increasing
This episode bring with it an increasing of tbe intensity of the action, but the story continues to be developed in the multiple timelines and seems to become more complicated with each episode going by. I am stll very surprised by the top quality of the acting and the way the characters are described, they are like real persons, a thing which disapeared completely in the american sci fi productions and because of that they are hardly believable characters. IMHO the future of the genre will be soon in the hands of other producers from other countries and i think this is just the beggining of a new stage of a necessary evolution. We, as fans, need this.
San ti: Episode #1.15 (2023)
This is so deep
I like this series, this kind of episodes makes you to think deep, it is so obvious the writer likes science and technology, because this series is something like the Expanse, the law of physics are not omitted, just because they stand in the way of the story and i think this is the future of the genre because the fans are a tired of the cartoonesque type of physics and technobubles, from the present blockbusters. I can see where the story is heading but everything becomes more and more interestingand i'm wonder if they will develop the next books of the writer, too, because the second one, Dark Forest it is considered to be a true masterpiece by the readers.
San ti: Episode #1.14 (2023)
This is mindblowing
Well if somebody would ask me about how good this series can be, my answer would be like this : if i had to choose between the best tv series from Netflix and this one, which is free to watch, on Youtube and is translated with the english subtitles, i would choose this one in a split second. Probably the younger scie ce diction fans are still fascinated by the visual effects and this series will not appear like something very special, but after a while, when you realise a good tv series must have much more that some visual effect, this is the kind of show which will please you the most and this one has quite extraordinary landscapes and style of filming, nevertheless.
