Kadin Kafasi (2024)
I didn't find it empty as claimed!
I started watching the movie for Ufuk Özkan's sake. At first I wondered what happened to Ufuk Özkan. He looked physically changed and extremely thin, probably because of his illnesses. But thanks to him the movie made sense. Because the spirit inside him is the same. I didn't find the movie bad, in fact I watched it without getting bored. There are touching scenes, scenes that make you laugh and dialogues that make you think. I didn't find it as empty as it is claimed to be. In fact, a very important topic was addressed and questioned. It is definitely not worse and more empty than many romantic comedies on the market. It even brought a smile to my face at the end. The issue of people trying and testing each other to get to know each other before getting married is a very serious issue. Its necessity and correctness are always questioned in the movie. It is as if two different arguments are expressed with their justifications and the choice is left to the audience. Although the ending of the movie that love wins at the end of the movie and the argument that "we are not robots, the good ones will become psychopaths one day, the bad ones will come to faith the next day" and that it is wrong and unnecessary to test the other person are not very strong. So, according to this argument, should we choose someone randomly, without making any effort to get to know them, just in case they might be good or bad tomorrow! On the other hand, while the ethics of deliberately subjecting someone to tests is questionable, many people do it as a logical necessity. The truth of the matter is that some of the clues we see may be the tip of the iceberg and we need to act on them. Otherwise, we may regret it and be very sad.
The Expanse (2015)
I fell in love with a series that I had gotten bored of years ago!
I fell in love with a series that I had gotten bored of years ago!
A long time ago, I watched only a few episodes of the series, got bored and couldn't stand it and quit. And based on the opinion of some viewers that it picked up after the third season, I skipped the first two seasons and started again. After finishing the whole series and then the first two seasons, my opinion has completely and incredibly changed in a positive way, which I will try to convey as much as I can.
Before starting the third season, I was familiar with the series and its plot, but I was still prejudiced and a bit cold towards it. In particular, political conflicts, intrigues and Earth-Mars-Belt conflicts and separations did not interest me and seemed like empty, unnecessary, boring and meaningless details that should not be in a science fiction series. I think that was one of the reasons why I got bored with the first few episodes and gave up. Maybe I was working very hard in those years and my head was full of a ton of problems and I couldn't watch it with the necessary importance and attention. After watching it, I realized that it is really important to pay attention and pay attention to appreciate this series.
Doom Patrol (2019)
It's such a unique production... This is not a superhero show!
It's such a unique production... This is not a superhero show!
It's a very interesting show. It's a series of nonsense... As many people have stated, there is a lot of nonsense in this series that it is not possible not to be aware of and not to say, "Oh, give me a break!", but there is also something else that makes many people watch it with incredible immersion and conversation. In fact, those of us who see this nonsense and say "how can you watch and love such nonsense?" should marvel and ask: "Yes, we are well aware of these absurdities just like you. But there are so many other, serious and beautiful things that make us ignore so much nonsense and put it to the back of our minds and even forget about it... We are amazed at how you can't see and/or see but don't appreciate, don't care about, don't care about this remarkable, emotion-filled, human, serious, sincere and successful acting and script, dialogue and editing?" Yes, in the midst of a ton of nonsense, what attracts us is that the acting and script are so realistic, serious, sincere and full of emotion... So, in your opinion, these things do not have value and meaning, so you cannot make sense of the fact that this production gets such high scores. The feeling is mutual!
Doom Patrol... It's such a unique production... This was not a superhero show. It was a journey into the inner worlds and misery of people who can be considered freaks with some strange powers (traits)... A series of consecutive absurdities that you can't easily see anywhere else... And yet, it is a very different series that is gripping enough to make you watch it without watching anything else and manages to bind you to itself... I normally have no tolerance for absurd and vulgar humor and it seriously disturbs me. However, the script was very deep (between the characters) and the flowing operation was at a very high level to make me ignore this and make me watch it over and over again. In general, absurd comedy productions are superficial, you don't connect with them. But not in this show. The deep dramatic events that are presented simultaneously with the successive absurdities cause you to connect emotionally with the production and the characters and keep you watching. After the nonsense that was spread throughout the series, which often made you say "what the hell?" and even annoyed and angered you, the last few episodes were very exciting and gripping, and finally the finale was sad in a way that you don't find in many dramatic productions. The feeling it left was like after the sad death of someone you are angry with, you can't easily be angry with them anymore and you feel sad inevitably. Because there were no more absurd jokes, replaced by the sadness of death and separation. Both for us and for the characters. They finally got their powers, but then what happened? Before that happened, Rita died and said it was time to say goodbye, to disband the Doom Patrol, to leave and go our separate ways (in ghost form) Then Cliff (the robotman) died. And Larry (the guy with the bandage) went to death (the sun, whatever). Only Jane and Vic had a happy ending (in this world) Madame Rouge also survived and went to destroy the bureau. In fact, each of those who died had sad, dramatic endings that could be considered happy endings in a way. (Rita also met her beloved after life.) After all this, we are left with separation and deaths, a Doom Patrol that disintegrates and ends, with complex and sad emotions. Despite all its absurdities, Doom Patrol managed to be an unforgettable and unique production. Those who plan to watch it will encounter a production that they will never guess and will leave a deep mark on them.
Loki (2021)
Why would you make such a Loki and such a ridiculous thing?
Why would you make such a Loki and such a ridiculous thing? Marvel seems to be losing its seriousness and going in a strange direction that has lost its self-respect. It's as if someone forced them to write the script under duress and forced them to direct and make this series. How can there be so much weirdness, absurdity, laughless, meaningless, messy work? This is a very unpleasant and annoying thing that will also lose the respect of the audience. Most of the scenes are not a joy to watch but a torment. The guy keeps going and coming, popping up and disappearing. As if a very good job is done with such a stupid scenario and flow? You will alienate you from science fiction. If you don't like it and you are not satisfied and happy, don't do it. Leave it, move on to other jobs. You can relax and we can relax. It is well known that Marvel employees work under pressure and stress, and my feeling is that their unhappiness and stress is reflected even in the movies, TV series and scripts they make. It's a grave situation. Hire other employees, don't make them unhappy like this. It's not impossible to find employees who will dedicate themselves to Marvel with love and do much better quality work.
The Ark (2023)
So awesome, incredibly gripping and exciting
So awesome, incredibly gripping and exciting...
Although there are similar productions in this style, this series has managed to handle and differentiate the subject in a wonderful and incredibly fascinating and exciting way...
Unless you can get into the emotion and frequency it gives and don't look at it with a critical gaze that always finds fault in everything and covers goodness and beauty...
Experiences are truly personal and have a lot to do with how you look and your conditioning. It always surprises me how extreme comments and feelings there are...
My experience was totally perfect for the first episode...
The Watchful Eye (2023)
This is a very solid build. It takes you away. You just watch...
Experiences are personal and this experience was perfect for me. I wanted to write this even though three chapters have been published.
Combining a multi-dimensional scenario, namely suspense and horror on the one hand, action with the theme of theft on the other, and a delightful youth series on the other, blending different categories in such a consistent and gripping way, and to do this with the incredible performance of a smart, beautiful, sweet and very attractive character with great acting. To present with its attractiveness...
This is a very solid build. It takes you away. You just watch...
Sahmaran (2023)
Very immersive and enjoyable experience!
Very immersive and enjoyable experience
First of all, I must say that Sahmaran is a production capable of providing a very immersive and enjoyable experience when watched under the right conditions. I should add that I think that the narration is done in an ideal consistency, just as it should be in each chapter. Being able to enter the emotional state that the series conveys to you and be on the same frequency, maybe a little bit of your imagination, and those who value and enjoy things that satisfy other emotions (mind, heart, imagination, etc.) Being one of the necessary conditions for a satisfying experience...
Of course, these experiences are shaped individually and I have already seen from the comments that most people have not experienced it this way. And for that reason, I even thought of not starting the series before.
But I wanted to give it a chance, thinking that the IMDB score of 7 may have been due to a strong and justifiable reason. I was wary of what to expect from reading the critical comments. On the other hand, I both researched the legend and read and watched the detailed series review. And that's how I started the first chapter. (How do I know I won't be able to get up until Episode 8?!)
As I mentioned, these preliminary preparations helped me a lot in having a very positive experience. Let me tell you this. I am also a person who moves slowly, does not tell anything and distracts the audience, does not like productions that create meaningless mystery and finds productions in this style boring. For example, I found Dune and Blade Runner 2049 to be extremely boring.
However, I am one of those who appreciate that there is no requirement for a production to be immersive, exciting and full of action in order not to be boring. We are not mere creatures of eyes. Even without the superficially eye-catching effects and action, there's a whole lot that can satisfy and stimulate and satisfy our minds and imaginations. And that's why I don't get bored of a production that is strong in this aspect, I can even watch it with a feeling of intense satisfaction and without getting bored.
This series did just that. (Yes, it bothered me that Sahsu's grandfather didn't speak at all at first, but later on, when I learned the character's position in the series, I appreciated that he should be like that. Other than that, I can say that I was never bored.) I watched it with such a sense of fluency that I watched the episodes one after the other, even though I don't normally have a period. I finished watching the 8 episodes and a total of 6 hours of viewing, except for the lunch and toilet breaks, and I was surprised myself. I didn't say "it doesn't explain or understand anything" for any episode, and the series didn't make me say that, except for some minor points that don't fit and make you say "that's all it will be". I enjoyed it immensely and watched it dragged to the end.
I believe that if the series is watched with the right expectations and preparation, it can provide an enjoyable experience similar to the one I had. I have watched a modern mythological story that is enjoyable and can be watched with curiosity, and I can easily say that I was filled with a feeling of intense satisfaction when I finished it. And I believe that this production will lead to intense interest in Turkish productions from abroad. Perhaps the fact that the IMDB score is 7 is an indicator of this.
