Ahsoka (2023)
Sensational, long awaited live action!
We have waited so long for the live action characters we fell in love with in clone wars and rebels and we have not been disappointed!
Rosario as Ashoka is honestly fantastic, you can truly tell she has brought care and thought to the character from her speech to her physical mannerisms, it's lovely to see. It's also great to see that the fans concerns regarding her lekku were heard. They're longer and more fitting of her older look. Hera is beautiful and the relationship with chopper is a pure embodiment of rebels and divine to finally see brought to the screen. The actress for Sabine has a great look, seeing her appearance at the end of the second episode was a great rebels flash back! However so far the acting/writing of sabines character has been a little disappointing, where we left off with Sabine she may have been stubborn but she had made so much personal development and was a great team player and mature leader. I hope we get to see that Sabine come back to the screen in later episodes, and maybe a little less of the self centred childish Sabine we've seen so far.
The newest characters being the dark Jedi master and apprentice are a great addition in the force wielder vision, I'm very excited to see how far their character goes and saddened to know Baylan Skolls character will only go so far, he is such a great in-between character of Dooku and Qui-Gon it would have been intriguing to see so much more of this duo.
From just two episodes it's fantastic to see such a great start with vast potential, almost as if it's the sequels the fans deserved and have long awaited! Hats off to Dave filoni!
Blue Bayou (2021)
A must see and beautifully written movie
I wasn't expecting anything coming into this film, it had so much depth I wasn't ready. The relationships were genuine and well written, the accuracy of certain roles wether it was the mother in law lurking and disapproving to the little girl/step daughter showing real raw care, anger and hurt for everything she was going through. The parallels of the police force to the utter pain of his situation and all of their situations unfolding side by side. The writing was spectacular, the filming had gritty yet real world values and the actors themselves were outstanding in their roles! The ending tore at my heart strings, I was at the edge of my seat and biting my nails from the start of the movie just filled with anxiety and hope. I truly hope this shines a light on the clear plight of many and I sincerely wish that families are never put through anything like this is the future.
Star Wars Rebels (2014)
Essential for Star Wars lovers
There are other reviews that are cutting this quite low, all seem to be from people that only want original cast members like maul, obi-wan and clone wars members, however this show brings in new characters with amazing development of themselves other worlds and deeper aspects of not only the Jedi but the empire as well there is action drama romance and comedy! It's impossible to not get attached to these characters each episode even some view as fillers are written beautifully and will touch your heart. It is an absolute must watch!
Clone wars was an amazing animated series and really this feels like a continuation of clone wars but with a different perspective and some new and much needed characters!
Born a Champion (2021)
The best martial arts movie ever
I have just made an IMDb account to make this review but this is hands down one of the best movies I have seen! The martial arts in this movie especially BJJ were beautifully represented with some amazing writing to go along with it. The story was amazing I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone with a love for martial arts or just a love for good movies. Everything together would make this a solid 10/10 and a definite watch for anyone.
