Tabula Rasa (2017)
Episode 9 Though!
Episode 9 undoes everything Tabula Rasa got right in the previous 8 episodes. How disappointing. I mean, really? Garbage ending. Not satisfying whatsoever.
Benoit: I know my affair with Veronique inadvertently caused the death of our daughter but look Mie I'm crying now. I finally managed to shed a single tear.
Mie: Yes, Benoit. We should place flowers on our Romy's grave and forget about how you lied and cheated on me resulting in the death of Romy.
Sleepless Society: Two Pillows & A Lost Soul (2020)
Two Pillows Is Too Messy
Two Pillows desperately wants to be a clever murder mystery but tips its hand in the early din the series. There was really no need for 13 episodes. And I'm not sure what the show was trying to say (if anything) about women who are victims of domestic violence. Kate is physically abused by her husband Chad which causes her to dream about killing him. But instead she kills the guy, Bank, who just happens to be in the bed with her at a party her friend Ploy (who is having an affair with Chad) threw for her. Kate had actually hooked up earlier at the party with Top who is Tew's older brother. Top is accused of murdering Bank and is willing to take the blame to get money for Tew's unbeknownst to Tew. Tew wants to get revenge on Kate because he knows Top is not a murderer because Top has an allergy to surgical gloves which is why he didn't go to medical school. And it goes on like this throughout all 13 episodes. Two Pillows is too messy.
