Animal Control (2023)
Fun light-hearted comedy
Joel Hale plays the part of a cop that uncovered corruption at his precinct and gets fired for it, so he heads over to animal control for a job. This to me has the same type of humor as Community and boy, we need more comedies! This is exactly the kind of light hearted show that I needed. Get through the first and second episodes and you'll be hooked. You get to know the characters and begin to care about them. I really enjoy shows like this...shows that just makes you smile & doesn't take itself seriously. There's enough seriousness in this world. You can de-stress to a show like this. Give it a chance! (sadly I noticed that it's on fox and fox cancels everything so I'm not holding my breath but I'll be really sad if there isn't a second season).
Walker: Independence (2022)
Give it a chance, you won't regret it!
OK I'll admit the first episode had some cheese to it, and I was thinking it was coming off very average, however, the writing only got better. Surprisingly, the main characters of Abby and Hoyt aren't even the ones that interested me. The characters of Tom Davidson (the damaged bad guy), Kate (the saloon girl), and Calian (the heroic Native American) are the ones who sucked me in, so I decided to watch the 2nd & 3rd episodes and pretty soon I binged to the very end and was devastated when it was over.
I came to enjoy what each character brought and felt invested in all their storylines. And let me just say there is some chemistry between these characters that is off the charts from friendship to romance. Each episode got better. The acting got better. The storyline got better. It was a surprise the entire way. The show just got better!
I really hope that we get more seasons because there's a lot of material and interesting characters to work with. With each episode the show found its footing, and so did the characters. Give it a chance, it's worth the ride! Great entertainment!
House of Hammer (2022)
The 1 Reviews have an agenda to quiet victims
Reading all these 1score reviews made me laugh out loud. You can tell most of them probably didn't get past the first episode and the others are nothing more than misogyny, trying to quiet victims as usual, and not listening to what this documentary actually had to say. This family is truly vile, violent and disgusting and Armie Hammer is repugnant. The fact that there are actually people defending him when there is piles of evidence to show the things that he did to these women in his own words (gleeful words, I might add) makes me shake my head in disgust. But then America and the deep-seated misogyny has no bounds.
This was an enlightening documentary and I am glad that the public is finally seeing the truth of this vile family and that vile person who's career should forever be over.
