Cup of My Blood (2005)
Bewildering and boring bad B-movie
SPOILERS ________
This movie is exceptional in it's confused storytelling and weird polished uncreepy scenes that simply go for the shock effect, like 50% of the whole time. I quickly became bored with the story which first seemed to consist of a Photographer who has a creative crisis and doesn't know who he can trust. We then learn that he has some friends that run a porn webpage and hide some religious mumbo jumbo behind the pictures, I mean come on!... The acting is horrible mostly because of the bad script I suppose, the whole movie seems to be just a joke, and not a good one.
Twilight (2008)
Worth watching, despite some painful scenes
I'm not too familiar with Gothic and emo movies in general, but suppose you can count this as one of them.
I liked the slightly dark atmosphere and the thought on death and life. Also i liked the visual style of the pictures, like short before a thunderstorm is coming up, but nearly through the whole movie. Perhaps a little like in "Sleepy Hollow". There were some hard to watch sequences, where all there is is shallow acting and it's all about 'look how cute our protagonist is!', which was a little unnerving for me as a guy, but: There was a line that was not quite crossed, if you get my drift.
So all in all an entertaining movie, if you just want action you probably should see something else.

Kidô keisatsu patorebâ: Gekijô-ban (1989)
Great movie
I started watching this not expecting too much. I was very pleased when the story turned out to be very tense and the characters quite believable. It was at all time a very entertaining movie, the score consisting of various types of acoustical underlay blended in harmonically with the visual art.
Even though the animations look a little aged, they still did not disappoint me. I liked the high degree of details that was put into almost everything. I was surprised several times of the awesomeness, for instance when the rescue-team reaches the arc that lays in the dark. The atmosphere of that particular scene reminded me strongly of "Alien" which is also a very good movie I might add).
There were some humorous parts as well that nicely rounded the mood of an otherwise sinister animemovie which I have to consider one of the best ones I've seen.
I recommend it to everyone who in the slightest likes anime 9/10
The Eye (2008)
Spooky but not frightening
I didn't know much about the movie or it's original idol but after watching it i'm not disappointed.
Jessica Alba in this movie plays a blind woman who get's an eye transplant and soon after the operation begins to see strange things. First that seems to be normal because of the aftereffects of the operation, but later she learns that those are not optical Illusions or the like but a sideeffect of the transplant she got, she sees what the former owner of her eyes saw.
The acting is not too bad, on the other hand no one probably will receive an Oscar for the performance, but everyone seems to catch a drift of the characters they play and so the movie is somewhat believable. There are some special effects that are integrated into the scenes fair enough to not look ridiculous or bad.
I liked the story though I also saw 'blink' 10+ years ago, but that wasn't a negative influence for my viewing pleasure, maybe because I cannot remember much of 'blink'.
If you like Mysterymovies and Jessica Alba you probably wanna see this, if not, well it's still a well made movie, maybe a little slow at times but nice to watch nonetheless.
