Hamilton's Pharmacopeia (2011)
Brilliant
Very well done non-biased documentaries about drugs. I absolutely love Hamilton Morris!
This is a must watch especially since most people have consumed anti-drug propaganda their whole lives and don't have an accurate understanding of them or the culture around them.
Don't Look Up (2021)
depressingly real
The writing is absurd but is a satirical social commentary about the rising age of misinformation online and the implications about that.
If you don't like this it's probably because you don't understand it.
Bo Burnham: Inside (2021)
Brilliant
I loved it so much it really externalized a lot of the ways I've felt over the last year and a half and the music is great a serious work of art.
Can't recommend it enough, that socko song was too accurate and had a few laughs too.
BoJack Horseman (2014)
Best animated series I've ever had the pleasure of watching
Absolutely brilliant. So well written, great jokes, characters with such depth and complexity.
I've seen this 3 times at least easily one of my favorite shows of all time I'm so sad it got cancelled (creators wanted 9 seasons) but still had a brilliant ending because they were told it was their last season.
The CEO and one of the founders of Netflix called BoJack his favorite show and I'm so glad he saw what was great about it.
Tuca & Bertie (2019)
Animation is good, I love the art style
Someone wrote "Hey, what if we made Bojack Horseman, but without the poignant social commentary, the clever writing, or the deep characters?"And I can't think of a better description.
A lot of people praise the show for having so many LGBT characters and I agree it's good to have representation but what if the show was only straight characters doing the same thing? Would these people still like it? I think they wouldn't.
