Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money (2010)
FNV Dead Money (DLC #1)
A phenomenal DLC that is probably my favorite of the four for New Vegas. The characters are the most memorable of all the DLCs and might be my favorites from the entire game. The atmosphere is one of the best I've ever seen in a game and I just love something about the combination of Bioshock-like setpieces mixed with that good ol' Fallout spirit. Dead Money is definitely worth your time. Just remember that even the game itself warns the player of this one being for "experienced Couriers." So don't be surprised at how unforgiving it can get.
Fallout: New Vegas - Lonesome Road (2011)
FNV Lonesome Road review (DLC #4)
This DLC is a must-play for its choice-driven dialogue, enthralling story, cool weapons, killer atmosphere/setpieces, and fascinating enemies. The Marked Men, the Tunnelers, and the quintessential Deathclaws make this DLC terrifying at times and add to its depressing and nihilistic tone. My only real gripe are the technical difficulties that seem to come up from time to time during playthroughs. Otherwise, there is a remarkable game world with some thought-provoking moments to be experienced in this now retro DLC. Where does the time go?
Fallout 3: Point Lookout (2009)
Point Lookout review (Fallout 3 DLC #4)
This DLC has one of the best game worlds I have ever explored. There's a lot of fascinating things to find and some very fun side quests. The main quest is so-so, but definitely has its memorable trippy moments. I would absolutely recommend this DLC. It adds some badass weapons, fun quests, and some menacing enemy types. My only qualms with Point Lookout are its satisfactory main quest and enemies that are just ridiculously powerful and take way too many hits to kill. In any case, this DLC is worth your time just for its atmosphere and locations.
