Tooth Pari: When Love Bites (2023)
Watchable, enjoyable yet lacks tightening loose ends of the plot
The Director has done a lot of hard work in this series which reflects from each and every scene of the series. The direction has its loose ends. Though the series at first takes good pace and puts audience in a suspense mode but at the end it leaves some loose ends which will create many questions among the audiences about the series and the consequences of the actions of the characters of the series. The acting of the whole cast is praise worthy. The editing is smooth. I think this series should have been released as a movie in theaters . I am sure it would have attracted box office collections. The Director has beautifully depicted the old lanes of Kolkata city and its bangaliana. Sikander Kher speaking bengali words reminds me of the tone used by Mithun Chakraborty in his hey days while pronouncing bengali words. Overall the series is watchable and enjoyable excluding some minor plot holes.
Ginny Weds Sunny (2020)
A pleasant and a practical no nonsense romcom
This movie explores the various equations between two persons and how to make something good a confusion and ruckus is created. The scenic beauty of nature in Uttarakhand has been captured well. Keeping the awesome Uttarakhand scenic beauty as a background the growing friendship and blossoming romance between Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam has been directed in a well manner by the Director. The acting of everyone is bang on. Not over dramatic one bit. Watch it if you love romcom movies.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero (2005)
An appropriate showcase of the last active years of the Legendary Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
The film by just concentrating on the reformation of Indian National Army and the later war of Indian National Army under the Leadership of Netaji against the British rule in India has done a splendid job of reliving the patriotic times of the Great and perhaps the bravest man in India's struggle for freedom.
Gumnaami (2019)
The film beautifully captures all the theories behind the Great man Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's dissapearance
From start to finish I did not get bored at all. A gripping showcase of the controversial and presumably the last or may not be the last days of Netaji post the independence of India.
X-Ray: Selected Satyajit Shorts (2021)
A great and modern artistic tribute to the short stories of Legendary Satyajit Ray
What happens when you adopt four unique short stories of a great personality in the modern world backdrop and make it a film dedicating to the master ? ......it will surely turn out to be a never seen before experience. That is what happened with this one. Starting from the gripping tale of 'Forget me not' and ending with the unforgettable 'Spotlight' the film RAY captures the complex human emotions of the modern world. It explores every facet of human existence like ego, jealousy, greed and camouflage. This film beautifully describes the masks of emotions which humans wear in their daily lives. It does not matter whether you are a Satyajit Ray fan or not. If you love a good film which really explores human emotions and relationships then this film is worth a watch. Every actor performed their heart out in this film and the story telling of every Director in this film was poetry in motion.
