The Killing Kind (2023)
Can John Webster be trusted
This six part thriller drama has you guessing on the edge of your seats. Who do you trust? Who don't you trust?
John Webster is creepy, but with good intentions. But is he telling the truth?
Although the TV series differs considerably from the book by Jane Casey , the only thing that annoys me slightly, is the switching back and fourth of the story. That can be rather confusing at times.
But having said that, it plays out brilliantly and the pieces slit together really well.
There are some heart stopping moments that make you gasp with 'Oh No!" And you need to keep watching to see what happens next.
Colin Morgan who plays John Webster plays his character to perfection. You never know what to believe about him. And Emma Appleton who is Ingrid Lewis plays off Colin really well.
As for the final ending, well what could I say. Nothing without giving the game away. But one thing for certain, if ever the TV writers wanted to do a second series, it definitely has potential and enough plot there to do so.
Besides Paramount + it is also available on channel 5.
Worth watching everyone.
Dead Shot (2023)
Action packed film from start to finish.
Intriguing, Inspiring, Captivating, Sadness and Inquisitively Enthralling.
Just a few words that describe the film from start to finish. Based in the 1970's during the conflict of the IRA, this is a journey of two men's actions in the time of the troubles. O'Hara played by the most talented Colin Morgan and Tempest played by Aml Ameen. There is no better casting then Colin Morgan who absolutely takes you into his role as Michael O'Hara Heart stopping moments play out during the film. Don't watch this because it is based on the IRA. Watch as an action packed film with such courage and despair.
Mammals (2022)
Mystery and Drama with a twist.
A series that has you guessing and working out the clues.
Credit to all the cast members as all did an excellent job. Wonderful pierce of writing by Jez Butterworth.
Six less than 30 minute episodes were packed full of excitement and mystery. It took me several re-watches to fully understand the concept of each character. The emotions from the actors James Corden and Colin Morgan was outstanding, although I have to say that Colin's acting skills far outshine all the others. Colin's acting abilities are off the scales.
The series ended with the concept that there is definitely room for a second series and more answers needing clarification.
I would highly recommend watching it.
