Fantastic!
First I will say that Jung Hae-in is one of my favorite actors. He is just so talented! I will remember this show for a very long time. My heart was moved most definitely, and I shed a tear or five! The show is about a North Korean spy coming to South Korea based on orders given. He didn't know that he was interfering with a supposed democratic election. While undercover he meets a pretty, innocent, college student on a group blind date and things begin to heat up from there. The innocence that was portrayed when we were in the girls dorms contrasting with the political scene was done wonderfully. The camera shots were just exquisite and of course after spending so long with these characters I developed relationships with them all that had me emotionally invested. Great work. I highly recommend!

Lead Male was Great
First I would like to say that the lead female character is very popular. However, she was so annoying in this drama that I could barely stand it. I call her long suffering because that is exactly how she was and it made it seem like that was a good quality or something in her. Through her long suffering it made it seem like that she had learned these life lessons that she herself put herself through and I couldn't respect that. The lead male character was definitely more my cup of tea. Him and his sister. They weren't spoiled brats and they were of long suffering. They worked hard, had a good head on their shoulders and tragedy into triumph. In the end I couldn't really root for their relationship but I rooted for him because he deserved to be happy.

Cute
I was t sure if I wanted to watch this one but I wanted something that was a little more light hearted after watching My Mister and Our Blues. It's now 2023 and this was one from 2013 so I noticed the difference in the camerawork immediately. Also, I haven't watched a KDrama with this much English in it. They were in America and so I saw some American actors and that was intriguing. It showed an immigration perspective that I usually don't see in KDramas. I liked the romance in the film. The couples were predictable, but I still found myself wishing to see other characters happy in a couple situation. I think it's because I was invested in the all of the characters that I wished for happiness for. It was bittersweet for some of them for sure. I laughed at times and cried at times and felt touched.

Funny Funny Funny
I didn't know where this journey was going to take me. At first, I was like now how can I possibly enjoy this? But then, it was funny and then so sincere. I must admit that I like cooking shows. I also love K-Dramas, romance, and life lessons. In this K-Drama I got a lot of that and I was pleased to see it. There was comedy, there was romance, there was food porn and food references, and of course lessons about life. We all know the saying of "walking in my shoes" and that is exactly what we got here. A man not knowing or understanding women too well, walked a mile in her shoes. And the woman they chose to play a man trapped in a woman's body was awesome. She can act ok? I laughed, I tested up, and I found a lot of entertainment here.

Different
At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to watch this, but the first episode really got me hooked. I like that. There are so many things to watch now, the first episode really needs to grab your attention. It was creepy fun goodness from the beginning. However, it did take a shift and it was so very feminist. I think feminism is different for every culture, but after seeing what these women went through I couldn't help but to root for them. I could also understand every single viewpoint and so i wasn't rooting for everyone at the same time. The one thing that is true about being the type of mother I am, is that I am always going to root for my child. The thing about my mother that I have realized is that she shows my children, her grandchildren, a different type of love that I have never seen before. Again, this is a very female motivating show and I loved it.

Great Drama
This was such a great drama. I couldn't stop watching. I love how the female lead looked so soft and delicate but was so strong and so determined to survive. She really made me believe. I looked up some history on Joseon to find out more about what happened so that I could continue to watch more informed. I think my favorite character was the butcher's son because of how handsome he was to me. I liked all the male leads, but I liked the way he looked the best. I cried real tears watching some of this because I know that what I was watching was fiction, it seemed to have sense of hope and nationalism that I wasn't expecting. Either way. Enjoy this as much as I did.
