Schitt$ Creek: The Olive Branch (2018)
Relationship Goals!!!!
I started watching Schitts Creek on IMDBtv last year and I have rewatched the series over and over. I get so giddy when certain episodes come on but more so with this episode. Patrick's rendition in the "Open Mic" episode touched my soul, but David's lip syncing and dance to Simply the Best in this episodes brings me to the happiest tears ever!! The facial expressions while he performs his olive branch for Patrick just tells you how much he is in love with him.
Now can someone please add season 6 to their roster so I can finish the series and finally see the wedding I have been waiting what feels like forever for??!!!
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012)
Going out with a bang
I always read the books before I see the movies. I just prefer to have sort of idea of what I am getting myself into. I loved the Twilight Saga. The books were very well written and enjoyable for any age. Then the first movie came out. I agree with anyone who complains about Kristen Stewart's acting. She IS terrible. She acts like she is trying to force everything out of her mouth. The acting from everyone in the first couple of movies was pretty blah. Come Eclipse and Breaking Dawn 1, things were getting better, with the exception of Kristen.
I wasn't expecting much from this movie. I had been told that they had pretty much re-written 1/3 of the book, but as is tradition for me, I had my ticket for the 10pm showing on 11/15. I was in love with the movie. Even Kristen Stewart had improved with her looks and acting. She still wasn't great with her acting, but it was better than before.
The casting was great. However, the character of Alistair wasn't how the book portrayed him and that was disappointing. Lee Pace as Garrett is by far my favorite casting. Talk about Hort!!! McKenzie Foy playing Renesmee was so great. She is a beautiful, talented little girl and has a very bright future ahead of her.
Now, I will admit, I was ready to walk out of the movie when the fight scene started. The moment Carlisle was killed, I wanted to run. I couldn't believe that they had changed the book that much. That was going overboard. In the back of my mind though, I had a feeling that it was all a ruse.
The director sure did a fantastic job sending the saga out with a bang. I have already seen it twice and can't wait to see it again and again and again.
The Covenant (2006)
not that bad
i have watched this movie about 3 times now and still enjoy it every time...for other people to criticize this movie up and down and say it was pathetic and completely terrible is harsh and overstated...the movie had a great plot, was nicely executed and had some good acting...i am not saying that it was entirely great...i would kill the whole miss muffit part, redo the whole fight style, and some of steven's acting was over done, but other than that it was not that bad...i think the director did a fairly good job but definitely needs to spend a little more time going over the film before releasing it...there should never be so many mistakes left in the movie...i would buy the movie and continue to enjoy it and hope a second one is in the works some day
Heroes (2006)
such a shocker
when i first heard of the show heroes (before it hit TV), i was extremely skeptical...i figured it was going to go the way many new shows go...a couple of episodes and it would be gone...boy was i completely wrong...i have only missed one episode since it started (which has literally driven me nuts) and am so wrapped up in the characters, this hasn't happened to me since charmed...the story lines are so well told and the characters are so well portrayed by their actors, you couldn't ask for a better TV show...the shocker at the end of the last episode literally hit me like a bomb...it was a huge, unexpected revelation...the show is honestly one of the greatest shows to hit TV since, in my opinion, mash...
Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story (2003)
Absolutely fabulous
I was expecting this movie to be really good. Just by watching the previews of it made it sound like it was interesting, and boy was it. Thora Birch does an excellent job of portraying Liz Murray, a young woman who beats all the odds. She grows up in a broken home with two drug addicted parents who do nothing for her or her sister. Kelly Lynch is amazing as a mother with serious problems. The story really draws you in and it's sad. You want to feel sorry for her, but then you also wonder why she didn't pick up her life earlier than she did. I am so glad I watched this movie. It was truly inspirational.
