Max Payne (2008)

I loved it

I seriously don't know why people complain SOOO much about this movie, compared to other video game movies, you can pretty much consider this one a masterpiece, and i'm not kidding.

BUT, is this movie a masterpiece? No not in the slightest. But it's still a great time, Mark Wahlburg is a great actor as Usual and Mila Kunis isn't too bad either, the action is great and the length is perfect without outstaying its welcome.

Yeah some parts are dumb and its a predictable plot and doesn't follow the games perfectly. But it does follow the game, and it doesn't have to be perfectly, everyone needs to stop complaining, no it does not deserve a 10, i'd say about a 6.75, which for a video game movie, is GREAT. Easily my favorite video game movie, i enjoyed it, To the creators, nice work.

Gym Teacher (2008 TV Movie)

Not bad, Nickelodeon

The Film doesn't start off too well, with a very bad announcer guy for a spoof of ESPN doing the biggest mess ups in sports. But After that, the film picks up with some very good acting for a NICK film. Nathan Kress shines as Roland and Chris Meloni(If i spelt that right) does a good job doing a comedic role.

All i can really say is, once the film ends, you won't be mad you watched it(can't say the same about some nick movies). Its a good film, not amazing, but not awful either, its good.

Nick is starting to pick up well, and Nathan Kress is a rising star that has a great career ahead of him.

Bag (2007)

Amazing Short Film

Wow, what a great movie, this is another one of those films that shows that there are a lot of people out there with much more talent than the big time Hollywood producers. The Acting was phenomenal, script was great, and the ending was something you didn't see coming and surprised you, and that's rare in a short film, i'd love to meet everyone involved with this movie someday to tell them how great a job they did on this movie. I wish i could have been at the 168 hour film festival to see this then, if you ever have time, be sure to see this movie, its about 10 minutes and is on Youtube.

The Dark Knight (2008)

The......Best...Movie.........EVER

If any movie has deserved a perfect 10, this would be it.

The Dark Knight got everything right, perfect acting, perfect script, pefect action, dialouge, just all perfect.

The Movie was long, But it was a "good" long, when you've been sitting there for a long time watching it, but you don't want it to end.

i don't want to say anything that can spoil it, i just want you to GO SEE THIS MOVIE, everyone in the world should see it, its the best sequel ever, best batman movie, comic book movie, and best all out MOVIE EVER.

SPOILER ALERT* you do see two-face, and he is in the movie for a good half hour, and he looks damn awesome.

3:10 to Yuma (2007)

Freaking awesome action movie

Wow! this movie is just awesome, the opening scene you start out thinking whats going on, then bam! the action starts,I hadn't seen the original, so this was all new to me, the whole movie is full of amazing acting, and incredible action, i love the story too and the action was very well done with the fighting scenes, which there are plenty. The two main actors play their roles perfectly, Gladiator and Batman heh. Russel Crowe is a great villain and pulled off a role i didn't think he'd pull off well. The movie is suspenseful from start to finish and a great film to go see in the theaters.

The ending fight will blow you away, now i want to see the original!

The Punisher (2005 Video Game)

What? a Movie Based Game That is Actually Good?!

The Punisher movie was incredible, and the game stands by the film perfectly with Great Graphics, Great Storyline, Insane Gameplay, Fantastic Music, and content that expands from the movie making this game a must play in general.

The game starts off showing the punisher doing what he does best, killing lots and lots of people in some pretty cruel ways, but that's what makes him so awesome. If you don't already know this, the punisher is a BAD ASS, he goes around and kills people that break the law, yeah! He is caught and then put in jail and interviewed by a man and a woman, they make him explain all the events that led up to that night, and as he explains, you play the missions he is talking about.

Lets start off with the Gameplay, the most important part of any video game, ITS INCREDIBLE!, and very very addicting. You have a wide arsenal of weapons, and i mean a very wide arsenal, ranging from pistols to automatics, to flamethrowers to grenade launchers. You can duel wield most of your weapons as well. The Best part of the gameplay in this game, is the interrogations, there are soooo many ways you can interrogate your foes to make them tell you what you want to know. It can range from drilling their heads, to feeding them to sharks and snakes, or to just shooting them in the head. You can also run up to any foes and make a quick kill, using your knife or guns to kill them in some pretty awesome ways, and making quick kills NEVER gets boring.

The Graphics are flat outstanding for a 2004 video game, if this game came out today, the graphics wouldn't be nagged on too much.

The voice acting rocks and it's especially great having Thomas Jane doing the Punisher voice. The Rest of the sound is pretty smooth.

A lot of music is from the movie but that is just great, i love the music in the movie, and using that same music in the game made the game more entertaining for me.

The Storyline is based off of the movie, having Joan and Dave, and The Russian in it as well. It was a blast being able to play the Russian fight that is so awesome in the movie. And Besides from the movie's plot, the game expands and has ATON of extras, from going into the jungle, to an aquarium, and you get to play side by side with black widow, and Nick fury from S.H.E.I.L.D.

This is a great game that any action fan would definitely need to play

The Punisher (2004)

Wow! when i saw this DVD a couple years back, i'm like, eh, doesn't look to great. But then i saw the trailer, and was like I HAVE TO SEE THIS MOVIE! and i'm so glad i did, "The Punisher" exceeds in all levels.

-Amazing Action Sequences -Top of the line Acting -Great Story, I had just seen Thomas Jane in "Deep Blue Sea" before seeing this, and he did so much better in this, he acted so well that he's now one of my favorite actors.

The Action Scenes were Amazing, which was the bulk of this movie, every scene has something new, and fresh which makes it so much more fun to watch.

Bottom Line-See this movie, it's a Fantastic Comic Book Film.

Rescue Dawn (2006)

Epic

Rescue Dawn starts off as if it is a documentary, but soon after the opening crash, you'll be on the edge of your seat. Christian Bale acts amazing for his character. Him and a few other men are stuck in what looks like a concentration camp. Bale keeps talking about how they are gonna make a big escape. While some of the others say that its not possible, and even if they did escape, they woulden't survive in the jungle. Until, they realize that the guards wanna go home so they are planning to take them out in the jungle and shoot them. So then they realize that they have to make a stand and escape, and when they do, it becomes a fight for survival. The Environments in the Film are Great, you feel as if you are really in the jungle with the men. Everyone acts stunning, This is the film that you do not wanna miss seeing in the theater. Great Acting, great Effects, and amazing story make this a must see in general.

Transformers (2007)

Best Film of the Summer

Man oh man, i saw this at the midnight showing, not thinking it would be too great, but wow, it was incredible, i wasn't too sure, so i got around to seeing it again, and yup, i was right, this movie is awesome.

The Acting is fantastic, Shia Labeouf is rising in Hollywood, with Disturbia, and now this. He does a great job in this movie and there isn't a single time i think he isn't into it.

The Special Fx are amazing, the Transformers look great, all of them, the fighting scenes are a blast to watch.

The Story is pretty simple, stop Megatron from receiving the cube or all hell will break loose and we all die. But it plays out well, and more detail is added into it.

Bottom Line, go see this movie, it really is this good.

Resistance: Fall of Man (2006 Video Game)

Call of duty and Halo combined

Welcome to Next Generation gaming, Resistance is the Gears of War of Playstation 3. Incredible graphics, great and lengthy storyline, great multiplayer, awesome weapons, great on and offline gameplay, This game is better than gears of war, and i can prove it. Storyline is much longer, more weapons, better multiplayer, graphics on both games are great, and gears gets boring after a while, and if you don't have xbox live, it'll get REALLY boring, the story is too short, but Resistance's storyline is great, lengthy, detailed, and just fun. If you own a PS3, THEN GO BUY THIS GAME RIGHT NOW

Because this is the first Epic Ps3 masterpiece

Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005 Video Game)

Best Star Wars game to date

Star wars battlefront 2 is fantastic, the campaign is fun, yet short, and the multiplayer is what makes this game so great, you can play online with your buddies or go to instant action and play whatever kind of game you want, whenever you want. It has levels from episode 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. This is a great game for a party with friends or even by yourself. You can also now play as a Jedi, or Jango fett, Boba Fett, Han solo, and Chewbacca, and Leia! You won't always wanna play as a jedi, but if you just wanna be a Jedi or hero and nothing else, you can go to a mode called assault on Mos Eisley and only play as jedis, nothing else, its a load of fun, play this game.

Batman Begins (2005 Video Game)

This is the top of the line Batman we've been waiting for. Following the very succsessful movie "Batman Begins", the video game adaption captures the feel of batman and what he really has to do to be a sucssessfull hero, he can't just jump in and beat up the guys with machine guns and knifes. Here in this game, you use a fear technique by scaring your opponents to drop their weapons in fear. It works very well and stays solid throughout the game. The Grapics are also outstanding. Great graphics, and solid gameplay throughout, make this an obvious pickup, for any batman fan.

The Greatest film of our Time

I saw this In Imax 2 years ago, and went in not expecting anything but a fun little superhero movie, holy crap, what i got, was my favorite movie of all time.

Acting- the best acting i've seen in a film, Christian Bale was Incredible, he was so into his character and pulled of playing Bruce Wayne and Batman very well. Most of the actors in the last saga were either a good Bruce Wayne, or a good Batman, and Christian Bale pulled both off. Other than him, the rest of the cast was amazing, every single person, i cannot pick someone in the film who wasn't outstanding.

Story- What made this Films story different from almost all superhero movies, is that it wasn't just that a Bad guy is causing trouble and the superhero has to save the day, Batman Begins showed his journey to becoming the hero, and in a very detailed manor. The Villain wasn't an average bad guy either, and i won't tell you who he was because i don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it.

All I can really say is that if you have not seen this film, than you truly are missing out. I have seen it at least 20-30 times, no joke, and every time it amazes me even more.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)

Fantastic, is the only way to put it

Let's start out by saying that fantastic four 2 is much better than it's predecessor. Better story, better acting, great new character, and great humor.

Story- The Silver Surfer comes to Earth to destroy it because his ruler Galactus has to feed off of other planet's destruction. This story actually worked very well, i liked how the surfer was mainly doing it without thinking about it, towards the end, Susan convinces him that it isn't right and the Surfer tells Galactus that he will no longer serve him, and leading on to the ending.

Acting-Mr. Fantastic: ehh, he was the weaker of the four, some scenes he didn't look like he was totally into it. Invisible Woman: A tad better, some scenes she was absolutely superb, and others.....Human Torch: In my opinion he was the best of the whole bunch, his humor was flat out hilarious, and when he needed to be serious, he could be serious. The Thing: About the same as the first film, not bad, but not perfect, some times you coulden't understand him too well,but other than that he was fine.

Characters- Silver Surfer was amazing, he looked great, and was just a really cool character to watch. Doctor Doom was Iffy, In my honest opinion, he shoulden't have been in the film at all, he just wasn't needed, i would have loved to see them fight it off with Galactus.

Ending- Doesn't give away anything, but leaves you wanting more and knowing that there will be a sequel, and the Silver Surfer will be sure to be in it.

Resident Evil 4 (2005 Video Game)

One of the Greatest Games of all Time

I saw reviews on this, and some people said it was great, but i never got it because i hadn't liked any of the other Resident Evil Titles. But then my friend told me how amazing it is and that i have to get it, so i did. Where do i begin, this game is incredible, i have never played a game so addicting, the fighting style is steller, never played any game that has taken this kind of approach with fighting. 3rd person, over the shoulder shooter. You play as Leon from the 2nd Resident Evil, and in this game, he just rocks, he'll be your idle after you play this game. The game is very lengthy, and never gets boring, it stays intense and entertaining the whole way through, this is a MUST BUY for anyone with a Ps2 or Gamecube. I mean a MUST buy, it's incredible, tell your friends, that they shoulden't miss out on this game.

Ultimate Spider-Man (2005 Video Game)

Best Spidey game Ever

Ultimate spider-man is the best spider-man game available, no doubt, the graphics are incredible, breathtaking, and look exactly like a comic book, the web swinging has been improved from spider-man 2, it has many bosses, some being, Electro, Green Goblin, and Venom. You race the famous Johnny storm of the fantastic four as well! And you get to fight Wolverine! One of the best things about this game is the ability to play as Venom. He's soooooooo much fun to play as! He can jump over skyscrapers, and take out enemy's with a single punch! Also, when you complete the game, you are free to roam the city as Venom! They took a kind of GTA approach. If you commit a crime, say throwing a car at a building, then the cops start coming after you, and over time SWAT, Helicopters, etc. This game is non-stop fun, Buy it.

Spider-Man (2002 Video Game)

Spidey never looked so good

Spider-man the movie game looks soooooo great, for a 2002 playstation 2 game, the graphics are amazing, it wouldn't be a mistake to pick this up just for graphics, the gameplay is tight too, sometimes the swinging can feel awkward but not really. Voice acting is great in this game too and the levels are all really fun. Great adaption of the great movie.

The only thing that makes this not superior to 2 and 3, is the non-ability to freely roam around new york, but it is still a solid action game that's defanitly worth the buy.

Pick this one up, trust me, and it's really cheap anyway haha.

Spider-Man 3 (2007 Video Game)

Awesome game!!!

Just got the game a few hours ago, and holy crap, once you get past the training level, you just don't wanna stop playing the game, its so fun, swinging around new york as spider-man and now BLACK spider-man!, and this time, New york is MUCH larger than in Spider-man 2. You can do so much, and on the Ps3 version, there's 10 Story lines, one of those being the movie storyline of course, this is a massive game, the voice acting is surprisingly great as well. The Swinging and getting up buildings quickly will be hard to grasp at first, but after an hour or two, you won't wanna turn off your ps3.

Swinging through new york never felt so fun

Spider-man 2 is a very fun game, the 3rd does beat it, but that's in opinion to me, it's awesome how you get to swing through new york freely and interact with many people, the voice acting isn't great, but its passable, The web swinging was improved in Ultimate Spider-man which is really just an upgrade of this, I say, either buy this game, ultimate spidey, or spidey 3, they're all great, and I own em all, but at least get one of em.

The only thing i dislike is that the final boss doc ock, is sooooo freaking hard, i mean, he's near impossible, will take a long time to beat him, if you beat him on your first or second try, then you are a master at these games.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (2006 Video Game)

By far one of the greatest games of all time

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is an all out spectacular experience, if you have enjoyed any Zelda game at all (especially Ocarina of Time), then you will fall in love with this game after about an hour or two. The storyline is great, your Link once more, a simple ranch hand learning how to use a sword in his time not working. He is sent to deliver a letter to Hyrule Castle, but of course, all heck breaks loose and you must save Hyrule from the Spreading Twilight and eventually duel it off with Ganondorf again. It's very similar to most Zelda games, it has a Forest Temple, Fire(Goron Mines),Water, Spirit, and there are some new ones that are awesome, so be sure to buy this game no matter what, do not rent, you can't get your full experience by a week, buy, buy buy buy BUY!

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Fantastic, best film of the year, but...... we were expecting that weren't we?

I have many mixed thoughts going through my head after seeing the midnight screening of spider-man 3.

1. It was awesome 2. Great fx 3. Great length But, afterwards, i was a little disappointed, i still love the movie and it was fantastic, but was it really worth the 1 1/2 year wait?? No, it wasn't', this film is a masterpiece, but it was hyped way too much and my expectations were a bit too high i now realize.

But i say no matter what, go see this movie, if you don't go see this movie, then you're missing out.

This is truly an incredible film, tons of action, romance, rivalries, and the problems of everyday life in New york City.

Spider-man 2 captures the feel of spider-man perfectly, this is how super heroes would actually live their lives, it's never easy.

All Characters go all out in this one, Peter, MJ, Harry, Doc ock,even Jameson is great, if you liked the first, then this is a must see.

If you don't own this one, just go get Spider-man 2.1, it has all that great extra stuff and gives you a preview of spider-man 3.

Best Spidey film ever.

I just have one question, can Spidey 3 top it??

300 (2006)

One of the Greatest Film ever Made......Seriuously

I had to wait a week after opening day to go see this movie in theaters, and i must say, it was sooo worth the wait, i left the theater in a great mood, i had just seen the greatest film of our time.

The look of the film is fantastic, looks kinda like the comic book, the color is so stupendous.

The action and fight scenes are by far the best scenes of the movie, amazing, it was brutal and showed what the spartans had to do for freedom.

Plot- Keeps you into the film the whole time, throughout the film you connect and bond with the characters, and at the ending fight scene, when leiondas is the only one left, you feel sad, when he says "my queen!", your so into the film, you forget your watching it at a theater.

My advice, GO SEE THIS FILM IN THE THEATERS, seriously you will not regret it, this is truly one of the greatest movies ever created.

Eragon (2006)

Very Entertaining

When you see this film, do not go in expecting the book, go in expecting a fun time.

The action isn't very bad at all, the dragon looked really good, i'm an expert at green screen techniques so i could defanitly tell which scenes on the mountains have green screens or not. But don't go in looking for that.

This is kind of like lord of the rings,(kinda). The ending fight in this movie reminded me of Helm's deep in "the Two Towers". But i would have liked to see an ending sword duel, even though the film has sword fights throughout.

Overall i say if you are a huge fan of the book, and wanna see it on the big screen, you're gonna be very angry after seeing this. But, if you go in wanting to see an awesome movie with effects and lots of arrow/sword fights with dragons involved, check this one out.

TMNT (2007)

Simply Incredible...

My buddy and I just got back from the opening screening of TMNT, We didn't come in expecting too much, just that it would be a fun action packed turtle movie.

We got SOOO much more, i was blown away beyond what i thought was possible.

The Animation was just beautiful and great voice acting.

I don't wanna give away anything but just to say that this film is funny, action packed, and great storyline, i recommend this to anyone, not just turtle fans. This film got a standing ovation once the credits started.

I will be seeing this again in theaters for sure TMNT summed up in one word. "Amazing"
