9-1-1: May Day (2022)
Finally - we are almost there!
It feels like we are so close to the 9-1-1 of old. Eddie is home - can't wait for it to be forever and the 118 to be back together! My problem - where was Ravi? We don't like Lucy, the actress is painful to watch, and she has no chemistry with the team - again, I ask, where's Ravi?
Get back to our 118 with Ravi and do away with Lucy and Jonah and we'll be complete.
Also, props on that rescue scene and montage as well as cutting Lucy out. I think they are starting to see we don't see her as anything but an outsider - keep it that way!
9-1-1: Dumb Luck (2022)
Your getting warmer!
This episode feels like we are getting there - the 118 is almost all back (just waiting on you, Eddie) and it almost feels normal again!
JLH and Kenny are knocking their arc out of the park for sure!
Ryan Guzman - my god - he is just amazing! 10 out of 10 and I love the Eddie, Buck, and Chris scenes! I know TPTB say it's all in the fans head, but this relationship is the cornerstone of the show. Period. They need to continue down this road - Oliver and Ryan together steal the show! That's all there is to it.
And the reason this episode doesn't get 10 stars - characters no one cares about when we barely see enough of those we love! Why are we wasting time on Jonah and Lucy - no one cares! How about a May arc? How about a Karen arc? How about an Albert arc? We don't want to waste our time on awful characters we don't like!
9-1-1: Fear-o-Phobia (2022)
I just don't know anymore.
This episode gets 5 stars because Ryan Guzman is a king and Maddie/Chim are back - that's it! I hate what they have done to Buck! I don't know what's worse - that he knows he's unhappy and settling and stays with Taylor or that she says she doesn't care he cheated. Wow! Mind blown! These two are so toxic! Buck was my favorite character and they are slowly destroying him piece by piece and it breaks my heart! I also loathe these new people at the fire house - get rid of Lucy and Jonah. We don't need them nor do we care! Bring Chim and Eddie back - period!
Now on to why this episode even got 5 stars from me. I am so happy Maddie and Chim are home - it's time to heal and I know they'll find their way back together. Last but not least - I knew Ryan was a darn good actor, but holy moly. Give him more because he's a show stopper!
9-1-1: Outside Looking In (2022)
What?
Anyone else sick to their stomach? Me too! An episode full of decent action ruined by complete and total character assassination. I was excited for Arielle to join - I'm a fan - and I absolutely hate everything she represents because she just aided in destroying 4 seasons of character growth for Buck. He's my absolute favorite and he's a lot of things, but a cheater is not one of them! I am so angry at the writers for assassinating his character like this. I don't even like Taylor and I cannot believe Buck is a slimy cheater. I'm not coming back from this - I am done! Congrats Tim, hope focusing on LoneStar and letting KR take over was worth it because a fan favorite has been ruined and my favorite show is now trash! Buck would never cheat - how do you not even know your own characters? Gross!
9-1-1: Wrapped in Red (2021)
Is this 9-1-1?
I don't even recognize this show anymore and it's a darn shame! First off, Ryan and Gavin's performance - out of the park! They are so powerful, I don't believe for a second they or Eddie and Chris are going anywhere! And that's where the good ends.
That aside, where was Karen? Where was everyone's family? The emergencies were lame, the firefam is non-existent, Maddie, Chim, and Albert are still gone - now our cliffhanger is what - Eddie is leaving and taking Chris to live in a bubble? Shannon died crossing a street, just saying.
Also - for the love of god why is Taylor Kelly still here? You expect us to believe she and Buck are some great love story, but she bought him a sweater for Christmas. Come on!
I want my favorite show back - this isn't it!
9-1-1: Past Is Prologue (2021)
Disappointed
This episode had some good, funny moments - but the meat and potatoes is just so bad! Not only are we lacking incidents, hello this is 9-1-1, but they are giving back stories to characters no one likes. Taylor has been dead to me since Season 2 - there is no redemption and the fact that she herself faced such trials and still treated Bobby the way she did makes me think even less of her. Sorry, but I don't care about her and there is no redemption in my eyes. Not to mention - Buck being with someone like that totally assassinates his character. I hate him with her - he's like a pod and she sucks the life and heart out of him. He has the biggest heart and she is toxic. He would NEVER be with someone like that. Sorry. If you want to take more time away from the show, at least give us back stories about people we like. How about Karen? Ravi? Just please stop tanking before it's too late because my favorite show is making me miserable.
