Succession: Connor's Wedding (2023)
One of the best episodes in TV History
This most recent episode of Succession is one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen, up there with the best of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, wonderfully paced, brilliantly acted, fantastic camerawork and one one of the most shocking deaths I've seen on TV, this episode was an hour long anxiety attack that showed how sudden, raw and shocking death is for people in your life. Between Better Call Saul and Succession ending in the last year, two of the best TV dramas ever to grace our screens, if succession can come even somewhat close to replicating the quality for some of the later episodes, Succession will become an all timer.
The Last of Us: Long, Long Time (2023)
A perfect episode of TV
I loved episode 1 and 2, they flew by and had intense sequences and great character moments, episode 3 was much slower paced than the first 2, but by the end of Bill and Franks section I felt as is I had seen one of the most tragic love stories ever put to screen, if the beginning of the episode could be slightly retooled, you could have a stand-alone short film here. Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett are perfect as bill and frank, and Bella Ramseys ellie gets better by the episode, the ending of this episode is perfect with the shot of the window as the car drives away, I can't remember the last time I've been so moved by an episode of tv.
Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
Not flashy, not bold, but brilliant
The show ends on a note that fits Better Call Saul perfectly, it's not flashy or bold, it's poignant and makes you think about how far everything has gone for all these characters, the ending will take a lot of time to unpack for me personally, but it was suitable.
Better Call Saul: Waterworks (2022)
Am incredibly emotional, tense and heartbreaking episode
Vince Gilligans Last episode in this BB universe is incredible, it is heartbreaking, while being extremely emotional which leaves you drained by the end of the Episode, incredibly.
Better Call Saul: Breaking Bad (2022)
Masterful
This episode was incredible, beautifully shot and was written and directed by one of the greats, Thomas Schnauz. We see flashbacks to the BB era and our beloved W&J, and some MAJOR juxtaposition with BB which is setting up for a definite bittersweet finale.
