Upside-Down Magic (2020)
Cringey all the way until the end
I don't know about the book that everyone is talking about, but this movie is so bad.
Bad acting, cringey script, even the battle between the shadow monster near the
end was bad.
On top of all that, I was very disappointed near the end where they face against
the shadow witch. She was like," Oh look at my fire, you think that's powerful? I can do much more." When she transformed, she does nothing but stood there. She did not fly, disappear, or use anymore fireball. Nope, she just let the kids made a fool out of her.
Beulraek (2017)
I like it!
I mostly hate watching Korean dramas because many scenes are very unrealistic and predictable. It's like playing a chess game where you can place your characters anywhere you want whenever you want. When you realized all dramas are the same, all dramas are the same to me. However, I can tolerate this one because plot after plot after plot, it kept me going. I was disappointed at the end though, it feels like they rushed it, and it becomes super messy. Why is there suddenly a CCTV where the main character(Black or 444) jumps off the cliff? It's a bit convenient to capture him jumping off the cliff and not Joon kid when he was murdered. Secondly, I thought they said, if a grim reaper possesses a body and died within that body, they lost their memory as a grim reaper. And if a grim reaper possesses a body and killed somebody, they perished, or *worst* they seized to exist from everybody's memory. It doesn't make much sense to me how Ha Ram remembers him in the end. None of that happened to the main character (Black), and the weirdest part was that #444, or Black, or Joon, whichever you call him, still looks like Moo gan guy. I thought if a grim reaper found their rightful dead body, the grim reaper get their memory back and their body would turn back to the original too. Very confusing, a huge mess, and very cheesy too. The whole ending made the whole story confusing, as if they ignore all the rules they've made for grim reapers. Overall, I enjoyed it.
