BRUCE LEE AT HIS "VERY" BEST..
12 January 2002
The Dragon returns in one of the last movies that made him a star. In this Lee is a young martial arts expert, who is sent to Rome to help a family friend whose restaurant is in trouble of being taken away from them. This sequel to Enter the Dragon (although filmed before) was a definate stepping stone in an already famous movie career. Watch the Colliseum fight between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris it's a real classic.

OTHER BRUCE LEE RECOMMENDATIONS: ENTER THE DRAGON, FISTS OF FURY, CHINESE CONNECTION, AND GAME OF DEATH

Super Mario Bros. (1985 Video Game)
THE ORIGINAL IS STILL THE BEST
9 January 2002
Even by today's standards and graphics, I still never get sick of playing this classic. This was the first game I ever played, when it came out in 1985 I was immediately hooked. The music, the way the Goomba's look when you stomp on them, everything is so addictive.

WARNING...TRICKS AND CODES UP AHEAD.

I'm sure everyone knows all these but just in case. 100+ MEN IN 3-1, 7-1. 1. At the end of world 3-1 and 7-1 you have the opportunity to get over 100 men, to do this go at the end in 3-1 it will be a turtle, in 7-1 it will be a bulletproof goomba. When there jump on the shell and if done right you should begin to continuously start jumping until you start recieving extras keep doing this as long as you want, but be warned that you might run out of time.

GET TO WARP ZONE 2, 3, 4. 2. In world 1-2 go towards the end instead entering the pipe that leads to the flag, go jump at the top of the pipe and kepp running until you see 3 more pipes those are the warp zones.

GET TO WARP ZONE 5 3. At the end of 4-2 do the same as in 1-2, only you will see just one pipe that is your warp zone.

GET TO WARP ZONES 6, 7, 8 In world 4-2 just after you jump off the first set of elevator lifts there is a secret vine, find that and go up it when you go all the way up you will in a world similar looking like 4-3 go to the end 3 more pipes will be there that is you warp zones.

THE BEST IN JAPANESE CHILDREN ANIMATION!
30 December 2001
Warning: Spoilers
There are a couple of spoilers, but not the ending.

First off, I'm 19 years old and a big Pokemon fan. When I heard of this film coming out I couldn't wait for it's video release. It's everything I expected great animation sequences, awesome storyline and action sequences and it gives a new look towards the Pokemon franchise. I recommend seeing this film as soon as you read this or any review.

First my review for the short "Pikachu's Vacation" this was a good way to get into the movie, it also introduced some new Pokemon Snubbull a Pokemon that looks a lot like a dog and Marrill a mouse, water Pokemon that has a great sense of radar. The story involves our favorite Pokemon being left alone at a resort made for Pokemon. But when Pikachu and other trained Pokemon run into wild Pokemon they have a great battle. Suddenly the Pokemon find themselves working together to save a fellow Pokemon whose trapped himself.

After watching another short called "The Origin Of Mew" in which scientist find a fossil containing the DNA of the ancient Pokemon known as Mew. We find out that Mewtwo is a genetically cloned Pokemon funded by the evil leader of Team Rocket Giovanni. After Mewtwo escapes from Giovanni he sets out to destroy the human population and making Pokemon the rulers of the world.

Then we are shown "Pokemon: The First Movie" Ash and other fellow Pokemon trainers are lured to a secluded island by an anonymus trainer, we later find out that it's Mewtwo. When they arrive Mewtwo captures their Pokemon with special pokeballs and clones them in an attempt to show the humans that his clones are stronger than the originals. A great battle ensues, but one act of selfishness changes everything. That's where I'll stop I don't want to give the ending away, please go see this even if the only excuse is you had to watch for your kids.

OKAY FOR A VHS, GOT TO SEE DVD...
25 December 2001
Well to start off, I only have the VHS version I also just got a DVD so I'll eventually get one. But for now I would like to say this is a must see for any horror fan. Just like the commercials say it is a comprehensive look at the horror genre of the 60', 70's, 80's, 90's. Although it only has 90 minutes of footage and movie trailers for most of the profiled movies it still entertains. During the feature it has a kind of pop-up menu that is seen on the bottom that includes some amazing facts that you may or may not know. For example, the hook in I Know What You Did Last Summer wasn't a movie prop it was an actual laser sharpened metal hook, in which Mute Watson was extremely cautious using in violent scenes. From then on we are introduced with similar trivia at the end we are given the credits of each film, then the movie trailers.

I'm going to stop talking because I think I'm saying too much, I recommend getting this feature only if you are a fan of the slasher and suspense genre.

Frankenstein (1931)
Universal Monster's at Their Best
19 December 2001
I first saw this film at an age when I would naturally dislike black and white films, but I was hooked with the way it introduced the monster and the famous cries of "It's Alive, It's Alive" by Colin Clive. Boris Karloff even though an excellent and only choice was not director Whales first choice. Bela Lugosi who had recently made Dracula for Universal was asked to play the monster but declined. The reason for refusing the part according to AMC and Tim Burton's Ed Wood is that he wouldn't be recognized as an actor, also he didn't like to play mute. Well back to the review, Karloff is excellent as the Monster, and Mae Clarke is agreeable as Elizabeth (I like the Bride's Elizabeth more).

I recommend this film only to those who can appreciate the way film is shown and to those who consider themselves as movie buffs. ALSO RECOMMENDED THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN.

Scream 3 (2000)
THE FINAL CHAPTER?....MAYBE
9 September 2001
Director Wes Craven and writer Ethen Krueger (taking over for Kevin Williamson) helped make this film happen. This time we're taken to Hollywood, California where Cotton Weary (Liev Schreiber) is now a talk show host, Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox Arquette)is a t. v journalist, Dewey Riley (David Arquette) is a technical advisor for the Stab 3 movie, and Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is under a different name in order to protect herself. This time however there is a new killer(s) trying to get to Sydney, but it someone from her mother's past can Sydney survive another blood-bath as it seems the killer(s) is killing the cast members of the Stab 3 movie and won;t stop until Sydney is dead! My thoughts a great ending to the trilogy it definately has a few good scares and fills a lot of plot holes of why Maureen was killed. I won't give anything away but the killer(s) was a big surprise.RECOMMENDED! ***1/2 out of *****

Craven Has Done It Again..
9 September 2001
Not perfect, but good enough to watch over and over again. Craven this time takes us into a house of funeral home landlords who keep a group of boys locked in the basement because they've been bad, but when a few tenants decide to try and steal a few hundred of gold coins they find out the hard way that this isn't the type of house to break into to. I loved this film even though I can be lenient towards Wes Craven film this is still a must see for all horror fans.

Rush Hour 2 (2001)
BEST SUMMER MOVIE OF 2001
1 September 2001
Warning: Spoilers
THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SPOILERS BUT NOT THE ENDING.Sequels should be more like this just as funny as their original if not better. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan return as Detective John Carter and Inspector Lee this time they're after a Hong Kong gang in which the leader was involved in the death of Lee's father 5 years before, they're also on a case to find the bad guys who blew up the U.S AMBASSADOR in Hong Kong it all takes our duo from Hong Kong to Las Angeles to Las Vegas and the opening of a new casino.

My opinion go see it, this movie has all the laughs from beginning to end, and Chan has a lot more one-liners as he is more with it. Basically I think this is the greatest movie of the year. I just hope there is a 3. Chris Tucker is top notch in his portrayal, and Jackie Chan felt so comfortable with his role now he fits into it like a pair of gloves.

Terror in the Family (1996 TV Movie)
PRETTY GOOD TV MOVIE
1 September 2001
As far as t. v. made movies go this gets a B+. Hilary Swank better known for her role in "The Next Karate Kid" plays an abusive teen who starts to violently hit her parents when she gets real angry, through all the fighting and her dating a delinquent the violence turns into an authority involvement. Joanna Kerns (Growing Pains) plays her alcoholic mother who can't seem to control her daughter or keep a punishment, she's believable but tries too much. I'm not saying it's the best but I would see it as often as it may come on.

A TOP NOTCH COMEDY FROM A T. V. SHOW
1 September 2001
Leslie Neilsen is great as he reprises his television role as LT. Frank Drebban from Police Squad this time he must try to foil a plan to kill Queen Elizabeth 2 at a local Braves game. But he must first get through his feelings for a cop lover played hilariously by Presilla Presley. O. J Simpson has a small role as an idiot cop named Norbert. I give this film 3 stars out of a possible 5.

SEQUELS SHOULD BE LIKE THIS
5 August 2001
Taking place 5 years after the original slash fest another killer is hacking up young teens at a camp across from Camp Crystal Lake where the original murders took place. A lot of sequels don't rate up there with the original but this one does in every way. This film scared me the first time i saw it with its use of theme song CHA CHA CHA for example it makes you jump.It also introduced one of cinemas most infamous killer...GUESS WHO?

GREAT
5 August 2001
This is the movie that started it all, and left its mark on the slasher genre for all time. The best thing about this movie is the use of the point of view of the killer by now most should know who the killer is (i won't say just in case). All i have to say is if you haven't seen this go see it.Betsy Palmer and Adrienne King are excellent together. This also helped launch the career of Kevin Bacon.FOLLOWED BY 9 SEQUELS AND A TV SERIES.

Dracula (1931)
THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST UNIVERSAL MONSTER MOVIES EVER TO BE MADE.
4 August 2001
One of the best Universal monsters in cinema history stars Hungarian actor Bela Lugosi as the infamous Count Dracula and his ongoing terror among the living to preserve his own existence and his first battle with Dr. Abraham Van Helsing. This film version of Bram Stoker's classic novel is the first remake of the German classic Norsferatu (1922).Tod Browning wanted silent era Universal monster star Lon Chaney Sr. for the part of Dracula but sadley he died before production started. Also while the English cast of Dracula went home for the night there was a Spanish cast filming at night using the same sets and shooting it scene-for-scene, but some of the camerawork was actually better and the women were dressed better. My thoughts on the film is WOW! this is the greatest film ever made only competition in all the remakes is its Spanish version.
