Baby Driver (2017)
Good performances
A very well choreographed film. Right from the driving sequences, the dance & music moves, the complete score of the film to even the sign language conversations between Baby and Joseph.
Absolutely loved the editing - sleek and clean. I can imagine the efforts needed to shoot the complete the film by calculating the amount of individual shots taken in the film.
3/4th of the film is quite interesting, felt quite a drag towards the end. The love relation between Baby & Deborah is quite interesting.
Overall a good one time watch.
Strong cast of actors.
Shor in the City (2010)
Offbeat
Quite unique casting, the screenplay was also not written in a conventional manner. I really feel the film was a bit ahead of it's time. Tushar Kapoor should've tried building up the character, it was quite powerfully written.
Pitobhash, Late Amit Mistry & Nikhil Dwiwedi have done amazing portrayals.
The end felt abrupt, editing was a bit loose, the sound team - especially the part where Tushar has lost his hearing ability was so applaudable.
Raj & Dk are masterminds!
Gabhricha Paus (2009)
Touches your heart
Highly under rated film. The script, the performances and the camera speaks above everything. Language shouldn't be a barrier, the emotions and scenario is universal. Superb acting by the young kid Aman Attar. The end is where you shatter from within. Must watch.
X-Ray: Selected Satyajit Shorts (2021)
Drama Visuals
Loved the way the creators have played with different forms of expression through camera, lights and production. Gives you the experience of experimental theatre.
Actors like Ali Fazal, Gajaraj Rao, Kay Kay Menon, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Harshawardhan Kapoor & Radhika Madan have given powerful performances.
It is an anthalogical series which can be viewed in any order of your choice.
Shershaah (2021)
Top Indian War Films
Powerful script, screenplay, direction & cinematography.
The costume, production & make up team too has done an amazing work.
The songs & BGM really touches the heart.
This war film will always be remembered as a fine work from Indian Cinema. Kiara Advani & Siddharth Malhotra have given promising performances. Would love to watch it in the theatres if they plan a theatrical release in the future.
The end is surely touching.
Cidade de Deus (2002)
Raw & astoundingly real
One of the best foreign dramas I have ever seen. The film just keeps on esclatating till the very end. The actors are raw and rugged, some of the sequences just make you flinch. Hats off to the creators, they surely have the guts to bring such a subject in front of the audience which was still in love with censored love stories for a long time. Great job!
Wreck-It Ralph (2012)
Family Time
A must watch family entertainer. Especially for kids who have been in love with arcade gaming and it's characters. From Pacman to Mario it is a visual treat. The story line and presentation is unique too. The central character 'glitch' is way too cute. The chemistry between Ralph and Fix it Felix too is worth watching.
Do watch it with your kids and familly for a time well spent experience.
