Echo (2023)
the world is finally changing
A Native American woman, not the usual blonde badass all perfect in her Americanness, a deaf woman therefore always far from all the stereotypes that Hollywood has accustomed us to, where badass rhymes with action, rapid-fire dialogues and rare silences.
So the factors behind her are three: female, deaf and Native American, things I have never seen in my life in a miniseries dedicated entirely to her
Is the world really changing? I hope so with all my heart
we want to talk about the fact that the story is about a villain from the world of comics, about a little-considered secondary character, who is not just a villain but above all a human being and who therefore has her own personal story like everyone else.
Yes of course the miniseries had something incomplete at the base, perhaps it should have been finished better but the actors were good, Kingpin supreme, the intense grandmother, yes of course the script had some holes to fill but if the world is really changing this is definitely the first step towards change
Thank you.
Cat Person (2023)
maybe a different ending?
Very contemporary film, very realistic.
The end from my humble point of view should have been her telling the truth to him, maybe in a slightly sweetened way, but always the reason why so that maybe he could learn something from what happened.
In the last scenes it would have been nice to see him go out with an older woman, maybe give the sense that he understood the lesson and give some kind of hope for everyone.
As for her and the end, being a little strange and sadistic, the idea of leaving the doubt is good.
The star of the film is obviously she who shone in Coda and here she does the same, even her friend is an excellent wing woman
ah and of course he shines by reflection but with a light all his own.
The Beast Must Die (2021)
Because she in it
Thanks to Cush Jumbo who made it all believable.
The rest of the cast was enough invisible and not worth it! Sorry!
