Black Mirror: Joan Is Awful (2023)
a painfully dreadful start 'Joan is Awful'
'Joan is Awful' aired first on the basis that later episodes would redeem the narrowness of this dreadfully boring story...
an embarrassment..also disappointment over the 'Joan' for poor performance-as the lead character she didn't even come close to bringing it together, she lacks skill, inauthentic, uncomfortable in the role, just not committed to performing well. To sum it up, she put the least amount of effort in, too many errors, and derailed any instance that could've been profound-painfully obvious errors. It doesn't fit, it's a stain on the stellar reputation of Black Mirror. Please. S.
Steel Country (2018)
very touching film ( NÖ Spoilers in my review )
Andrew Scott and Bronagh Waugh are phenomenal.
I say don't let the inconspicuousness influence your decision. I'm 100% that viewers more sentimental than myself, consider this to be a 'hidden gem' or a "diamond in the rough".
I chose 'A Dark Place' at random and a few minutes in I recognized Andrew Scott. He played the role of a notable Sherlock Holmes character in the latest film series, with Benedict Cumberbatch, starred alongside Daniel Craig in 'James Bond', and had a role in the haunting Charlie Brooker series, 'Black Mirror'.
I recognized Bronagh as well for her gut-wrenching performance in, 'The Fall'; a series in which she plays the wife of a brutal killer (Jamie Dornan), which also stars Gillian Anderson of X-Files fame.

Triple 9 (2016)
I was invested in the story start to finish
I chose to watch Triple 9 after I saw the cast included the insanely talented and captivating:
- Woody Harrelson
- Aaron Paul
- Chiwetel Ejiofor
- Norman Reedus
- Anthony Mackie
- Casey Affleck
Truth be told, I try to watch all of Woody Harrelson's work but this was even better, it had four of my other favorite actors, so, needless to say, I watched Triple 9 before all else on my watchlist despite the fact that films from the action genre aren't ones I normally watch first, as soon as I add to my watch list, they usually sit a while but not this!
The Lie (2018)
Disappointed
My Mom asked me to watch this with her on Prime and I was super happy because it's actually one I had been wanting to see, and it was just released, so I had an open mind going into this, yet I was throughly disappointed.
If you watch this you'll be subjected to listening to the whines of a teenage girl. When she's not whining, she's disrespecting her parents as they coddle her, for nearly two hours.
Nothing at all interesting happened in this film. No one finds this film interesting, not even people that subject themselves to the Kardashian's trash "reality" show.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
I've never understood the hype
I never understood why it's highly rated in comparison to other films that are much more interesting. I was super excited to watch Wolf of Wall Street so you can imagine the disappointment when I watched the film and dialogue that was becoming even slightly interesting, was overrun with vulgarity. Ew
