Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)
Transformers are back!!!!!
I can't even begin to describe how awesome this movie is! I'm still trying to figure out if I enjoyed it more than the first three movies & Bumblebee (which are my favorites). But this film is for sure up there on my list! (Check out my detailed review on my YouTube channel in a couple days: Dom Bak0531). Optimus, Wheeljack and Mirage were my favorites in this film. Optimus was extremely different in this film than from the previous films! The terrorcons (scourge especially) were like menacing horror villains! The CGI/ Action was jaw-dropping! And our first introduction to UNICRON didn't disappoint! The ending was awesome! Can't wait for more! Transformers for life!
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
SHIA'S LAST PERFORMANCE! ENDING TO A GREAT TRILOGY
This movie in my opinion, was great, but not as good as the first two. I know this is very controversial; nonetheless I still love this movie. It was Shia Labeouf's last performance as Samuel James Witwicky. Megan Fox was fired from the movie. Which bummed me out because they both had great chemistry. This movie was very different in the sense it involved the moon. Sentinel Prime was the major villain (probably one of the best villains), the shocking death of Ironhide (which by the way had a badass scene with Sideswipe; Ironhide literally shot one of the damn Dread's jaw off. Megatron was on the sidelines for this movie (the decline of Megatron). Sam wanted to have a major purpose in his life. Which came in the form of a new character named Carly, played by Rosie-Huntington-Whitley. She was a great character as well! Both contributed in the whole movie. Josh And Tyrese return and have a major role as well! Not to mention the fact that the wonderful Patrick Dempsey played a villainous character named Dylan Gould, who teamed up with the decepticons to try to conjoin Cybertron & Earth. Sam ended up killing him with the exact same pillar that Sentinel put up to bring Cyberton back. Optimus being the badass he is had an epic way of telling Megatron that they will never be able to coexist by saying: "time to find out", then proceeding to throw his axe into Megatron's head; splicing into his head and jaw, then proceeding to shoot Sentinel after their extremely intense showdown. I remember in the theater saying "that's what you get sentinel" (Sentinel being the one to kill Ironhide). Yes y'all it was tragic as a 9 year old to see that. Absolutely enjoyed this movie. It was the end of a great trilogy!
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
THE MOST JAW-DROPPING TRANSFORMERS EVER
Where do I began with this amazing film! Now I now, some of you are probably like how is this movie "jaw-dropping", well, I'll tell you! To me (in my opinion) this is the best Transformers movie to date... no ifs, ands or buts about it! The beginning was crazy right off the bat! Optimus and Ironhide literally demolished Demolisher; we were also introduced to Sideswipe! Sideswipe immediately impressed me when he did this ninja flip over a decepticon minion names Sideways; while doing that he ended up slicing him in half with his blade! It was an incredible sight to see! Sam, Judy and Ron are even more hilarious in this film. There is a point where Judy ends up getting high off Marijuana (on Sam's college campus). I laughed my butt off. We meet a new character named Leo Spitz (Sam's roommate). He ends up being a jokester, and a scaredy-cat at the same time. He was pretty funny. Megatron ended up being revived and met up with his mentor, The Fallen. The Fallen ended up ordering Megatron to kill Optimus and Sam. So, Megatron ends up capturing Sam, Mikaela and Leo (in this abandoned factory). Before Megatron could kill Sam, Optimus and Bumblebee come jumping in to save the day! Which ends up leading to THE FOREST FIGHT!! Optimus ends up beating the crap out of Megatron; going for his joints, kicking/ punching him in the face/jaw, throwing trees at him. Megatron calls for Grindor and Starscream! Optimus puts up probably the best fight in movie history! He kicks Starscream's jaw in (literally), then ripping his arm off! Then he goes and rips off Grindor's lower-jaw and face into pieces! But the saddest thing happened... Megatron cheap-shotted Optimus; impaling him with his fusion cannon! I remember when I watched this my jaw was on the floor! Devastator was in this film! He was absolutely massive! He wasn't green and purple like he was in G1, but he would open his jaw and his victims would get sucked into this mouth! He was awesome, but ended up being killed by an extremely advanced weapon! But at the end of the movie, Sam gets the shard, and he ends up reviving Optimus! Optimus is so damaged though, that Jolt (who should've had more than 30 secs of screen time), saved him by conjoining a dead Jetfire to Optimus; making Jetpower Prime! Optimus then proceeded to the Pyramid (that Fallen was already starting to use to destroy the Sun), and he blew it up! Then he shot Megatron's face/jaw off with his own (Megatron's) fusion cannon! He ripped Fallen's heart out. This movie is so special to me because my Mom and Step-Dad got this for me (for all of us to watch) in 2009 on Christmas! 10/10 always for me.
Transformers (2007)
THE BEGINNING OF THE BEST FRANCHISE!
I was 5 when this came out in 2007. Now before the live-action film was made, my Grandpa DJ got me all the G1- episodes! I watched every episode to G1 (including the 1986 film). I remember my favorites being Wheeljack, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Jazz and most importantly OPTIMUS PRIME! Fast forward to 2007... my Step-Dad, My Mom and My Sister all went to the theater and seen it; we absolutely enjoyed it! I came out with my jaw on the ground. I truly loved Shia Labeouf's performance as Sam J Witwicky! The way his character was jaw-dropped by seeing all the autobots transforming in front of him; it truly gave the audience a sense of wonder. The characters, the story and the action were all phenomenal! I think the only thing that bummed me out was that they KILLED JAZZ!!!!! He was one of my favorites in G1! Megatron was just ripped him half (that was the other moment where peoples' jaws were on the floor; one kid even screamed: "NOOOO"), Ironhide and Bumblebee were the funniest robots in the film. There is a particular scene that always has me laughing! It is when all 5 of the autobots (Prime, Jazz, Bee, Ironhide and Ratchet) are all at Sam's house...Judy and Ron (Sams' parents) are freaking out; they think that there is an earthquake, but it's just the gigantic robots shaking the house. It was truly historical! The fight between Optimus and Megatron was extreme! Optimus got his butt whopped in this film, but Sam saved him by injecting the cube into Megatron's chest! This movie (a long with all the other transformers) have a special place in my heart. This movie will always be a 10/10.
My Virtual Escape (2017)
Just As Amazing As The Psycho Series!
First and foremost, everyone involved in this project did a phenomenal job! This series was just a tad bit better than the classic 'Psycho Series'! Issac Kalder (played by Jesse Ridgeway) is a character that the majority of people can relate to! We embark on his journey; whether it's pain and sadness from losing his sister, or joy when he played 'MVE'. Issac's father Joseph Kalder (played by his real-life father, Jeff Ridgeway Sr.), and Mary (played by his real-life mom, Terry Ridgeway) also have very relatable characters! Joseph is a hard-working man, who tried to make sure Issac's future isn't screwed up by smoking joints and doing drugs. Mary, is dating Joseph (essentially making her the Step-Mom). Her and Issac don't get along at first. That's what makes her jealous. She wants to feel like a family;Issac didn't want her to join the family! All the characters in 'MVE' all had individual personalities! Malachi (played by Jesse Castillo), is a young just like Issac, but hates Issac! Almost every encounter with the two ends up being a bloody mess. In my opinion, I think Malachi was just jealous of Issac. Then came Michael Archer (played by his real-life brother, Jeff Ridgeway Jr.); this character looked out after Issac! He kinda helped Issac cheat the game. Within the middle of the show, you start seeing Issac's vulnerable side. He finally puts all the drama to rest with Mary as she slowly dies from her illness. They smoked a joint and made jokes (forgave eachother); before her death. He was also in a very sticky situation when an old lady, Martha Kalder (played by Jesse's Aunt Jackie) wanted her life to end; therefore, she wanted Issac to make her overdose. Both moments were extreme tear-jerking moments! Arachnid/ and Sexy Mobster John were the main Villian. Sexy Mobster John, (played by John Hagerty), was originally a servant to Soloman; however, Soloman left... which meant John would take over the "Brotherhood". The Brotherhood consisted approximately 11 members). In the end, they all betray John, and the dumbest one, Gingie (played by Jeff Saxton) tied him up to a tree). Arachnid, is someone that doesn't joke around... he will shoot and kill anyone who he deems as a threat. We go on a long journey as him and Issac go from hating each other, to be the two remaining survivors of the game. Along the way, they meet a girl, named Rebekah (played by Kandis Orth) with blue hair; some may describe her as a rebel. Issac and Rebekah fall in love! Unfortunately, she is shot to death by the returning Soloman, but then he dies, and Issac kills John in a gruesome fight, as well. In the end, there is a major twist. Joseph and Arachnid use to be best friends, and they created 'MVE'! Arachnid was so consumed into making the game, that he didn't pay attention to Joseph's daughter (Issac's sister) falling out of a window. In the jaw-dropping final battle, The Servant (Joseph) was trying to protect his son! Arachnid killed The Servant, and Issac shot Arachnid in the head... so did he win the game? Yes! But in a shocking turn of events Issac and Malachi were just playing 'MVE' together in real-life; meaning it was all fake, no one actually died. They all ended as one happy family. Instant 10/10.
