The Good Doctor: Unconditional (2024)
*SPOILERS* And, why? Just...WHY???!!?!?!?!
It's bad enough that we just lost Dr. Asher Wolke to a hate crime, so suddenly. It's so unfair that he and Nurse Jerome Martel weren't able to get married. But with Dr. Aaron Glassman's latest bombshell about his brain cancer return, it feels like the writers want to kill off *everyone* on the last episode! Dr. Claire Browne had successfully avoided breast cancer, after surgery from the team, and then to have her faint on a park bench? Is she slated for death, too? She and Dr. Jared Kalu were possibly heading for a real relationship this time. I mean, a few seasons back, we lost Dr. Neil Melendez, as he and Dr. Claire Browne were forming a friendship, and possibly love. And we "lost" her as well, when she left for Guatemala. Dr. Danny Perez, though not dead, was shipped off to Texas to get help with his addiction problem. Dr. Jordan Allen was trying to be a friend first, and put love on the back burner; and two of her friends are gone from her life! Nurse Petringa was killed off by COVID. She had a lot of wisdom and just enough sass to handle her own in the OR. Dr. Marcus Andrews left the show, (I can't remember why), but in real life, Hill Harper is deeply involved in politics. Now let's talk about Dr. Aaron Glassman - he can *NOT* die! Ok, writers, are you going to gut-punch us all on the last episode? He is heavily invested in saving Hannah from overdosing on pills, not to mention his role as Shaun's father, and grandfather to Baby Steve. Glassy, as Lea affectionately calls him, is an integral part of the hospital, not to mention the clinic, as well as Dr. Shaun Murphy's family. Hell, let's just kill 'em all in a big explosion at the hospital! No happy endings for *ANYONE*!!! I know real life doesn't have neat and tidy rules, but can you show us a future where Charlie Lukaitis is a surgeon; Dominick "Dom" Hubank is also a doctor, despite his first-day jitters and fainting spells at the sight of blood; and Baby Eden and Baby Steve grow up healthy, even though their infant lives started off rocky? At least we saw one happy event - Dr. Alex Park and Dr. Morgan Reznick got married and will adopt Eden! What about Dr. Audrey Lim? I hope she finds passion in her love life with Clay, or maybe Clint, the lighting-struck guitar guy? Will she take up motorcycle riding again? I liked Audrey's mother as a girlfriend to Aaron. Writers, please take a cue from "A Million Little Things" - yes, Javier "Gary" Mendez died on the last episode, but we got a flash-forward, to see the characters continue some traditions, like the Bruins games season tickets, and Jon Dixon's family healing from his suicide. Please don't kill everyone off. The fans, the show, the actors - I think we all deserve more than that.
Good Times: J.J.'s Fiancée: Part 2 (1976)
Wish it had a better ending-SPOILER ALERT!
I know this is over 40 years old, but I just saw Part 1 & Part 2, and was hoping that Diana could have gotten a better ending. I don't remember seeing this episode when it was new in 1976. I think it's sad that we are left to assume that Diana ran off somewhere to get a drug fix, or maybe worse. It would have been nice to see J. J. find her in the bathroom, drive her back to Chicago, and with the support of her parents, maybe she could have received help in a drug rehab place. I didn't realize it was Debbie Allen of "Fame" and "A Different World". Good acting from everyone! James being so upset, stating that if we can put a man on the moon, why can't we tackle the drug problems? I wish the writers would have shown Diana, maybe 6 months later, and she went to rehab. A really good episode, which deserved a better ending, in my opinion.
A Million Little Things: Any Way the Wind Blows (2022)
Lots of new stuff! *SPOILERS*
I'm *LOVING* the maturity level that Gary has now - driving with his friend Maggie to Albany, giving her solid advice, and stepping back when Cam shows up. Gary has been through a lot - losing Maggie, losing Darcy and Liam, and the whole thing with that pervert creep Peter. Good to see Eddie helping Rome, and Rome reciprocating by getting Eddie out of his comfort zone and into the water! I'm glad that Valerie opened up to Regina. I'm hoping the two of them can start a new restaurant, and hire people who've been released from prison, to give them a second chance. I have some restaurant name ideas: "Second Chances" or "Second Time Around". Is Tyrell out of the show? I know he went to help his Mom, but let's not ignore the bond that he had with Rome and Regina. I know that Delilah is in France, but what about a FaceTime call with Danny and Sophie? I love the show!
The Good Doctor: Expired (2021)
salen has gone too far! (SPOILERS)
I want to say that Rachel Bay Jones is one hell of an actress, to have so many people hating her character! Also, major kudos to the writing team and the other cast members for making the show work so well! Rachel Bay Jones, if you read reviews, just please know that while I don't like the character you play, *YOU* are an amazing actress! Anyway, that being said: (SPOILERS) salen went *WAY* too far this time, to cause a backup in the pharmacy, so that the employees couldn't keep up with inventory, and had EXPIRED medicine in stock!!! This resulted in the death of a premature baby. Shaun had a meltdown, and finally Aaron showed up to help, by operating on Sunil, his ex-wife's husband, and being there for Shaun. I can't wait for the Spring season opener! What a cliffhanger! *SPOILER* Dr. Lim, may you be 100% successful in taking down salen and her evil ethicure empire. But it looks like salen won't go so easily, and her *LIE* about Shaun "killing a baby" was cold and untrue and so unnecessary! Anyway, I guess this is what makes good television viewing, because I always want the "good guys" to win, and the evil to be banished to hell where they belong! Is it Spring yet?
The Good Doctor: One Heart (2021)
salen has to go...NOW!!!
I can't be the only one who is *MEGA* sick and tired of salen. She pulled Morgan down to her level, by getting Morgan to do a low-cost eye surgery with only a 50% rate of improvement for the patient. And her cricket tacos, and roping Marcus into the bedroom - I'M OVER IT!!! Shaun and Alex had a difficult time with their patients and the donor heart. I'm glad that Asher finally opened the letter from his father, after talking to patient Brandon's Dad. Where was Jordan? And enough already with Aaron - is he out of the show or not? I can understand him taking time off, with that alien salen in charge of the hospital, and his divorce. But I *LOVE* Richard Schiff and hope his character stays on the show!
The Good Doctor: Rationality (2021)
Done with salen-why did Dr. Glassman leave?
Ok, as others have said, the "salen" character needs to go. I'd be happy with them killing her off!!! She belittles everyone, she's manipulative, she changes her whims every five minutes, she's only after MONEY, and *SPOILER ALERT* she made Dr. Aaron Glassman get in his car with his luggage and leave. If the writers don't change things soon, I'm not sure I'll keep watching. And why didn't we see Dr. Asher Wolke or Dr. Jordan Allen this week? I like the growth I'm seeing from Dr. Morgan Reznick, and I like how Dr. Alex Park is supporting her. Can we have a letter from Dr. Claire Browne, telling us of some good news in Guatemala? Maybe the actress can "read" it to us in an episode? Or show a few scenes of her writing it to her former friends and colleagues, and mailing it to them? C'mon, be "The Good Doctor" that I first watched and loved!!!
The Good Doctor: Piece of Cake (2021)
Stupid salen needs to go!
I would give "The Good Doctor" a 10-star review, except I'm already done with the character salen - I'm not capitalizing her name because I don't like her - dare to say that I *HATE* her!
*SPOILER ALERT*
She wanted a mother who had a C-section discharged immediately, when the hospital has a 48-hr policy? Really??!!!?!!?
She has no real medical knowledge, just wants the hospital to make money, and didn't ask for the valuable input of the doctors and nurses.
I'm continuing to watch because I love the other characters. I really like how Dr. Glassman called her out.
Hoping she dies on the show, or better yet, gets sued and put in prison! Then the hospital can get back to normal.
