Apocalypse Now (1979)
It's good, but the message seems forced.
To me, the creators of this movie tried too hard to make it have deep meaning, losing its impact. Every scene was unrealistically serious and depressing, ruining the effect the experience can have on the watcher. It had interesting themes that really make one think, but when I have to spend every second of the movie dissecting it for hidden significance, it loses its value and the themes felt forced.
GMO OMG (2013)
GMOs
Ok, to all the people claiming that those who are in support of GMOs are all "payed by Monsanto" or "brainwashed" should reconsider their sources. There is no denying the majority of scientists believe GMOs are safe. On top of that, the EU, WHO, AAAS, and many more agencies/scientist groups say the same. Many will say that all of the research has been done/manipulated by Monsanto, but that is not true. GMOs are a big topic, and millions on non-Monsanto research dollars have been put in to studying the safety of GM foods. I am not here to say people don't have the right to know whether their food contains GMOs, but I am here to say that this documentary is misleading and not scientifically vigilant.
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
A very thought-provoking movie, but not for everyone
This movie really made me think, and it was absolutely unique. However, if one isn't interested in science, technology, or space, they may not be able to appreciate the movie. If one is interested in those things, then they would absolutely love this movie. It is a movie the way movies should be done. It doesn't quickly skip to the next thing or try to hit a 2-hour limit. Instead it gives the setting as it is, letting the viewer appreciate the beauty and give sufficient thought to what they just watched. I really enjoyed this movie.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
The first one was much better
Very disappointed. This movie was super corny and cliché. It had a few good parts, but overall it was pretty bad. The worst part was the "Mayan" guy.
Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)
Original, Creative, and Funny
This is my favorite movie of all time. It is amazingly unique in its humor, story, and cinematography. There is nothing like this movie.
