got more real as time went on

Warning: Spoilers
I watched season 1 a few years ago, and then seasons 2 and 3 this week. I think the concerns of glamorizing the topic were extremely valid after watching season 1, however the tone switches in 2 and 3. The true evil of the people exploiting young girls, the danger of the situation, and the girls' lack of awareness about their manipulators shows in 2 and 3. Even the film style in the scenes of Chiara and Ludo "at work" were made less sensual and more heartbreaking. It was much harder to watch because it was supposed to be. The addiction like attachment (that particularly Chiara had) for the job isn't framed as fun or beneficial in any sense during the last two seasons. I think the growing darkness as the show went on was perfect to catch the situation from the victims/survivors perspectives. At first it was fun, reckless, and new. But they got in over their heads and were left gutted. I think if people watch the entire series they will see that all play out. That's just me, but I could definitely sense a change in tone and writing/visual choices to make it less "fun" and more tragic.
