Z shows how countries can be taken over by military juntas. Greece like Portugal has suffered such revolutions. We forget the dark political forces at work. Even in the US on January 6 2021 contesting the fundamentals of democracy..

Peter O'Toole as English aristocrat plays the role with aplomb and showed the absolute genius of his acting skills. Tweet-tweet he hummed in the gardens of his country estate dancing around like a possessed peacock with his pretty new wife. They are surrounded by his feuding family that only want him out the way. As happens so often in the English upper-classes. That Peter O'Toole is an Irishman adds to the sense of irony. First-class supporting actors add to the drama to make British movie history; when Britain had a movie industry.

The story also revolves around US soldier Billy Pilgrim transported to Tralfamadore planet to join a famous Hollywood starlet; his fellow cell-mate to be under observation.
