2067 (2020)
Better than the Apple, Disney and Prime crap. SciFi as it should be, although low budget
This is what scifi is all about. A dystopian future, time travel and flying busses. The storyline is thin, but well executed. I normally don't like movies with a limited number of characters, but that is not a problem here. One keeps on guessing what the end will be like, throught the entire film.
One thing I disliked, the constant focus/close-ups when the characters discover something new. Show me as well, that makes it a lot better.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
Slow, predictable and full of fantasy cliches
I don't get the fuzz. It's one big fantasy cliché with monsters, scenes in dark woods, magic powers and terrible CGI. The storyline is thin and acting is average. All in all a waste of time (no wheel involved)
Invasion (2021)
I hate those sicfi stories where humanity is fighting the invisible.
This is not scifi, this is a lame mix of war, soap opera and political correctness. The story could have been good, if the acting wasn't this bad.
5 stars for trying....
Dune (2021)
Impressive!
We were promised two legendary SciFi stories this year. Foundation and Dune. Where Foundation fails, Dune thrives. The contemporary technologies like CGI make it a must-see movie alone. It lives up to the books, pulls you in and does not let loose. I cannot wait for prt 2.
Foundation (2021)
I must be dementing
I read the foundation books, loved them. They took me to other worlds.
This is in no way based on that. Some characters are, the rest is rubbish. Hollywood crap. No one dared to to touch Foundation, Apple said. It should have remained that way.
Free Guy (2021)
Best AI movie so far. Expect more, this one will surprise you.
I did not know what to expect, but this is educating, entertaining and uplifting. I cannot think of a better actor to play the lead role than Ryan Reynolds. This IS him.
SAS: Red Notice (2021)
Cliche over cliche
What a waste of time. All cliches are in this one, including tunnel scenes we have all seen before. The plot is too predictable, the storyline very bad and the end can be predicted half way down the movie.
Cosmic Sin (2021)
Probably the worst scifi I've seen in a while....
This is a really, really bad movie. Bruce has had better days, and a lot more movies that are better. The special effects are nice, but the sound of the aliens is ripped from another set of scifi movies. A thin storyline, cheap props and shallow dialogies. Some times movies are too long, this one need another 10 minutes to explain the story.
The Pembrokeshire Murders (2021)
A crime series as only the British can make them. Clean, to the point and not a thread of soap-like sidelines
Based on a true story. Compelling, draws you in and makes you wonder what brings a person to such deeds. Scary if you think that this has really happened.
Placed in the beautiful scenery of Wales.
Bridgerton (2020)
Nice, but gets boring
A nice fictional documentary about the early 1800's. Very well filmed and some characters really come across. I bet most ladies will like this because of the overkill of romance and sweetness.
I just can't get past the flaws.
How can they have electrical lighting in a fountain in the early 1800's?
Planes in the background
20th century add-ons to buildings.
Soul (2020)
What a terrible thing, waste of time
Some animation is great, but the most part of it is low-budget. If you think you are going to watch a music animation, keep searching. This is not it.
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Great scifi filming, too long and no real plot
Yet another movie that lasts too long. It could have been 30 minutes shorter. Great scifi scenes, but not a movie I can give more than 5 out of 10
Pandora (2019)
Interesting storyline, but that's it
Sooooo bad! The idea of an alien looking human, could be interesting. A very bad script, bad acting and cheap props make it a waste of time.
Monsters of Man (2020)
Bad acting, too long but interesting
Not the best movie i've ever seen, but it is entertaining and made me wonder about technological progress. The actors belong in a B-movie, but this is not that. CGI is awesome and storyline is ok. Although it underlines the average 'all military projects are stupid and fail' assumption. Not a complete waste of time, but could be a lot shorter. please take out the terrible-acting-boy-crying-too-long scenes!
