Banggwa Hoo Jeonjaenghwaldong (2023)
Part 1: Close to perfection Part 2: Hot garbage
Everything was close to PERFECTION up until the platoon leader died (they should have left the show like that as the banger ending instead) after that, the show declined from a score of 7 to a 2, perhaps 1. The leader was the spark of the show, even the 2nd commander, but with both being gone everything just collapses. Especially since the show DRASTICALLY changed from its theme KILLER ALIENS to depression, CSATs, Korean society problems. The change of theme is not bad but the EXECUTION and PACING IS THE WORST HOT GARBAGE I'VE SEEN. Please someone tell me the Webtoon isn't as bad as it's live adaptation. I hate knowing the fact that I wasted nearly 10 hours of my life to end with this HOT garbage as the ending.

Focused too much on the male leads problem
The leads romantic chemistry was way off and I think this is given by the male leads lack of acting. I'm not sure if maybe he was written this way or if it's really just very bad acting skills. Also I was expecting the female lead to change more often since that was the primary premise of the whole story, at one point that got lost and it's focus changed to the male leads memory problem. This had a lot of potential, but it was a huge let down. Original movie was way better.

Meh
I could see why this is enjoyable to others, but it is not for everyone. I think this would be a story most enjoyed by couples with children as they could find it more relatable. I also found that it dragged a lot towards the middle to end and I struggled to keep interest. I felt like something was missing or needed fixing, but I'm not quite sure what it was.

Utterly Flawed
The Crowned Clown had potential, but has objectively bad writing flaws. Yi Heon (the original king) is an example of bad character writing. I am frustrated that they reduced Yi Heon (the original King) to nothing, when he was in my opinion the most interesting and important character, but they just used him as a plot device. Why even give us Yi Heon as a character with a backstory to begin with if you're just going to do that to him. The queen also has writing flaws, she completely abandoned the king without no remorse. It's like he never even existed even though she was about to jump off..?? But then again the clown is the better version of the king, right? Laughable. It's poorly constructed as a concept as well, the whole "let's pretend the clown is the king while the king goes wild because doppelgängers, but then do that to the king cause he don't matter, right?" I'm also upset that the mother of the king never got retribution for her sufferings. She was a sad misunderstood character. All she got in return was a bowl of death.

Overplayed greedy Chaebols
After 8 years of watching Korean drama, this type of story elements get stale and boring. Yes, robot themed made it interesting at first as I did enjoy the first couple of episodes. It was interesting seeing the robot explore and learn about humans and emotions, but once the story's dilemma started rolling it just became almost unbearable to watch. Way too dragged out and the ending was highly predictable. Also couldn't stand that the real son was very one dimensional.
