Carpoolers (2007)
A Pleasant Unexpected Surprise
I watched the sub-par pilot of Cavemen and was pretty disappointed with the show when I saw my first ad for Carpoolers. I decided to give the show a chance and I found it very funny.
I have seen two episodes(first two aired) so far and I can easily see this show as being my next "Friends", which is my favorite sitcom to date. The show has four primarily main characters: Aubrey who has several kids (more than 5) and an unseen wife, Laird who just got divorced and lost everything to his wife, Dougie who is the new guy who so far seems to get hit by a lot of cars, and Gracen, a psychiatrist who has a wife and a son who has yet to move out on his own.
I strongly encourage people to give this show a chance, and i personally hope this show has a long lifespan.
Stealth (2005)
One of the best movies of 2005.
I found that this movie was very good and well developed. Every scene seems to add on to character development or contribute to the story, whether showing the existing bonds of the three main characters, or leads to the robotic plane's inevitable malfunction. It has action, great characters, funny moments, entertaining story, and a couple unexpected twists (at least I didn't expect them). The movie gets you to care as much (if not more) for the rogue plane's A.I. as the main characters. The acting is reasonably good, but it seems that the acting is at the right level for this movie. The original score and additional music of the movie is also very good. For example, I personally hate it when movies toss in pre-existing music for the background for no reason, but this movie only does that as part of the story. When I saw this movie for the first time, I thought it would be mediocre (like Behind Enemy Lines in my opinion) but it ended up being like a Micheal Bay experience (The Rock). I give this movie two thumbs up and I hope they make a sequel.
