Cruella (2021)
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
I had been looking forward to this since they released the trailer. It looked like an interesting movie and before it I watched 101 Dalmatians to get some knowledge about this character.
I'm very surprised by this movie. I'm really glad that instead of making another live-action remake, they have explored the great potential that this character had. The movie has a good plot, and Emma Stone, and Emma Thompson have done good acting. Cruella is a brilliant villian after this origin story, where her motivations are explored, and the mid-credit sequence was nice too, how it connected to the 101 Dalmatians.
Rogue One (2016)
A story of the rebellion
This movie is not about the Skywalkers, it is about the rebellion against the Empire. This movie is my personal favorite star wars. People may ignore it when watching Star Wars because it is a "spin-off".
This movie shows us a side of the Empire which we hadn't seen before in the movies. We had seen many battles in the Original Trilogy but this movie just depicts it in a very different way.
"Stardust" is the name of the DeathStar project, and to Galen Erso that means his daughter, but to the empire it just means that the DeathStar is capabale of turning planets into dust.
I loved the characters in the movie, they don't feel forced at all and the last scene when the DeathStar is used to destroy the city, they know that they'll die, but in the long run they know it matters. Even as they die, they have hope. Another thing about this movie is that it shows us the suffering which the original trilogy ignores and i understand that, because they were targeted more at younger audiences, but regardless older audiences love them too. It shows us what it was like on Jedha when it was destroyed. The emotions. A New Hope shows Alderaan being destroyed but it doesn't have much emotion associated with the destruction of Alderaan in it.
Perfection
Star Wars (1977)
a great way to begin a universe
I watched star wars chronologically so this was the fourth movie that i watched. i know that some fans wouldn't feel like i do about this movie, but this is all i feel.
The story of this movie is simple, it is the first movie, and it is not very deep about the concepts of the force, the jedi and the sith yet. this is not the story of luke skywalker as a jedi. it is just the story of luke as a simple boy in a galaxy with a cruel galactic empire. the storyline is so smooth and everything that we see, we understand what we need to, about it. this movie is certainly not my favorite star wars, but the way it started the star wars universe was great.
Star Wars Rebels: Hera's Heroes (2016)
T H R A W N
I absolutely loved Grand Admiral Thrawn in this episode, and he seems different than other imperial officers like Tarkin or Gideon. He seems like a very organized character. It was also nice to learn more about the Twi'Lek people, and their struggles, just like they struggled in the Clone Wars.
Star Wars Rebels: Shroud of Darkness (2016)
face your feelings
This was a really great episode. Kanan, and Ahsoka have their fears. Ahsoka left the Jedi Order and even though it was her own decision, she still has guilt. Guilt that she failed her master.
Kanan always thought t hat Ezra Bridger's life was on him, the decisions which Ezra made, due to this, he needed to face the truth that Ezra will have his own path. That he(Kanan) can do nothing, but train him.
Star Wars Rebels: Legends of the Lasat (2016)
let the force be your guide
This episode was fun to watch. the way they reach the planet was so new and different. Normally Star Wars uses Hyperdrive but this was maybe a worm hole? and it was great to see a bit of a bond between Ezra and Zeb.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013)
deserves appreciation
I watched this series because it had something to do with "marvel", and i didn't know that Kevin Feige uncanonized it.
i forced myself to watch the first two seasons because of Coulson's story in it. The first two seasons honestly feel like they're filling the space between the movies. However around the third season it independently becomes a good series. The characters grow as the show progresses, and due to this we like the characters.
The series focuses on the MCU because the Shield hydra war, and the sokovia accords exist here too, until you reach season 5, where the snap doesn't happen, or its shown.
The series has great storylines, and characters. It does not have any senseless action. There is always a sense and logic for what happens. It's kind of sad that it is not canon anymore, because of Marvel's new series, but I hope to see something related to it in the future.
Star Wars Rebels: Path of the Jedi (2014)
the jedi way
This episode gave me some clone wars vibes, because this is an episode solely focused on Ezra and Kanan. It also reminded me of the Illum episode in TCW and the Yoda episodes in season 6. Ezra learns more about himself, and Yoda's voice as a guide was great because in Rebels, Kanan, the master has self-doubt. This was the first episode which I found pretty serious, because normally rebels revolves around a crew making their way in the galaxy by theft, and it is about how they don't comply with the empire.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Phantom Apprentice (2020)
Pain.
This was such a great episode. I love what Dave Filoni has done with Maul. The Phantom Meance would've been the end, but this episode was beautiful.
The animations were so great, and it felt as if professional actors were playing the characters and it was not some sort of animation.
Mail is so well-written and he is written with emotions and depth. The voice actor for Maul has done a brilliant job! The voice has pain, and fear. Maul is in so much pain. He wants to stop Sidious, because he knows it doesn't matter whatever Ahsoka and the Clones are trying to do.
Beautiful animation. Great voice acting. Everything seems perfect about it. I don't rate things 10/10 unless I think they're perfect, and this episode is.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Wrong Jedi (2013)
Its just so great
This episode blew my mind. The trial and everything was just so great. Bariss was so unexpected to do it because of the tank episode but why she does the attack, the reason behind it is so deep and Ahsoka leaves. I don't know why, maybe because she has a lot of stress and needs some space. Also the Jedi council members were so proud of her, but Bariss's words are so impactful to me as a Star Wars fans, like what if the Jedi are warriors, not peacekeepers now.
Greatest episode. Thanks Dave Filoni and George Lucas.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Shades of Reason (2013)
Deep arc
I loved this episode. It was great. I mean there were cool lightsaber duels but it was more than that. Mandalorians are traditional people and Bo-Katan feels that "outsiders" cannot rule Mandalore. Pre Vizla restores the people's faith in the death watch and their violent methods.
Loved it!
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: ARC Troopers (2010)
Brotherhood of Clones
I loved watching this episode. I wasn't bored at all. The Lightsaber duels were really fun to watch and Kenobi riding the animal was also great, reminded me of Revenge of The Sith. The Clones and the young clones fighting the droids was great. It showed how clones have personal feelings and wanted to protect Kamino.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Brain Invaders (2009)
Dark Side Rising
This episode was fun to watch. The duels among Ahsoka and Bariss were great. Ahsoka also had some kind of an attachment to Bariss and she wouldn't want to kill her. She also speaks to Bariss about Anakin and says that he does what he thinks is right. This is a great thing to say about Anakin, because he does what he thinks is right, even if the council may disagree.
Anakin, also tortures the Geonosian sepratist, and torture, is not the Jedi way. The Jedi use their mind tricks at the very most. It kind of reminds me of how Kylo Ren tortures Poe Dameron about the map.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 12: The Siege (2020)
not what fans expected but was awesome and fun to watch
I don't know what to say about this episode without spoiling anything. this episode was really amazing. good scenes. secrets are unfolded. this episode was really really exciting, and the show just seems to get better by each episode. The ship fights were really good. My love for star wars began as a child and I enjoyed the ship fights.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Innocents of Ryloth (2009)
Great Episode. Didn't bore me at all.
This episode was adventurous and fun to watch. The Twi'Lek child and her bond with the clones were great to watch. This episode shows us how clones are superior to droids, and how they have feelings and emotions.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Mystery of a Thousand Moons (2009)
fun to watch
This episode was very enjoyable. It nicely depicted the attachment Anakin had to Padme. Ahsoka seems like a very interesting character now.
