The Woman in the Window (2021)
Book was way better
A review from someone who fully read the book.
I am so disappointed by the movie. It doesn't even come close to how great the book was. The movie left out so many details and changed so many parts of the story line. If they actually followed the book, and how it was supposed to be, it would have been a 10/10 for sure.
They didn't even explain the picture of her sleeping that was emailed to her? And how it was actually Ethan who did it. As well as how Punch's paw got hurt, (also Ethan's doing). Or how Allistair & Jane Russel were covering for Ethan murdering Katie, meanwhile Ethan was putting the blame on his Dad.
It would have enhanced the wow factor at the end, much more.
It just lacked so many details, and fell short unfortunately. It becomes a boring, average movie that I wouldn't want to watch again or recommend.
Save your time with the movie, read the book instead!
Prisoners (2013)
Amazing watch
I heard about this movie from someone posting it on tiktok saying it was a 10/10. I totally agree. Its rare that movies are done this well. I have to say I wasn't expecting the ending at all. Usually, you can guess how it will end midway through, but I couldnt seem to wrap my head around anything! It was actually exciting to see how it would end. Huge plot twist. Its always the people you would least expect! The acting was amazing from all characters. Its the type of movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The only thing I kind of wish was different at the ending was to see the Dad finally getting reunited to his daughter. Nonetheless, amazing and I totally recommend watching it!
Super Dark Times (2017)
Meh.
I really liked this movie at the beginning and middle. However, the ending could have been a lot better and it seemed like there was something missing in the movie. The acting was really good, and the movie could have been a 10/10 besides those points. It left me unsatisfied. How and why did Josh randomly become a killer? He seemed so upset about the accidental killing of his friend, but then out of nowhere in the end starts murdering everyone? There's too many unanswered questions. Did anyone find Daryl's body in the end? What happened to Zach after almost being killed by his former best friend? I also don't understand what the random dead animal represented in the very beginning of the movie...After watching this I'm left feeling disappointed.
