Lunopolis (2010)
makes you think
It is so neat what these filmmakers did with this movie. I had remembered seeing part of this when they visit the dock thing. Finally came back across it. Highly Recommend.
Horror in the High Desert (2021)
Gets under your skin and stays
When you watch this one - go into it blind and not knowing anything about it. We did that and I was sincerely unnerved for the entire runtime of this thing! Twenty minutes in and we were asking each other if we'd ever seen this on the news?? It's about a guy who disappears while he's out exploring in the wilderness. It feels like you are watching a true story. It is put together like a documentary kind of movie and it feels utterly and sincerely real. In the first act I wanted it to speed up but it's worth the wait when the ball starts rolling. With a release date of 2021 we were assuming this was made during the pandemic (for the whole movie you never see two people appear on screen together) Even if it wasn't, it is an uber creepy movie and done well. There is a part in the end that reminded me of Signs.
Psychopaths (2017)
Wanted to love it
If the description hadn't stated something about a serial killer dying and his spirit going into all of these other peoples bodies (or something like that) the audience would have like no idea that was even a thing....it seems like a producer watched it and was like.....we got some splainin' to do here.
Ashley Bell was amazing as always, highlight of the movie.
Not a bad movie at all, but uneven and beautifully shot.
Cherry Falls (1999)
The twist!
Okay so no spoilers but at the halfway point I was excepting it for a post scream 90s killer movie.....really digging seeing Britney Murphy again, in something I'd never seen. Then came the twist!
