Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal (2023)
Watch the HBO one
Got Netflix just to watch the documentary. It seems the Netflix documentary puts two whole episodes on the boat incident and hardly anything on the LGBT boy. Typical Netflix homophobia. As expected.
They both open the exact same, with the Mallory boating incident, but the HBO documentary goes on to talk about the history of the family including some deep genealogy images showing the reach of the family. Netflix skips all that to give another two full hours, two full episodes to say what the HBO documentary said in one hour.
This is deliberate as we know the agenda of Netflix is anti-LGBTQ programming. It's sad really. Barely 20 mins was given to the LGBT boy hit and killed in the road and if you blinked you wouldn't even have known the housekeeper was killed.
Netflix is sad and it's only getting worse. HBO is still far superior.
Wrath of Man (2021)
Great action with extra fake cheese
I predicted this entire plot about 25 minutes in. It was poorly written. Had zero wit for a Guy Richie Film and is now a scar on my memory so bad i plan to book an appointment with my esthetician tomorrow morning to see about treatment. Can they laser brains?
The action was good, but Richie is trying waaaay too hard. Snatch will always be the best. This was nothing.
Cowboys (2020)
Once again trans people are left out.
A movie about a trans kid with no transgender actors of any sort.
I can't say anything else about the film other than it attempts to do something well. But when you leave out the people you're trying to include.
Alone (2015)
Misogynistic, and the same as all the rest.
Loved the show but as a woman it's apparent the producers didn't want a woman to win season seven. Callie should have been allowed to stay. She wanted too. But there was a cut scene between telling her she had to go and her reaction. I would lose a toe for a million. The rules are ridiculous. They tease a true outdoor show but underneath it's just the same as always.
Crocodile Dundee (1986)
Trigger Warning: sexual assault not mentioned
Nothing about the movie mentions sexual assault which happens in the bar scene to a trans woman.
Trigger warning. This half attempted joke ruined the entire series for me.
The Stolen (2017)
Believable, historical revenge flick...
...That's a solid B movie all the way around but has quite decent acting all around. You can feel the grit of this film. You may recognize one of the characters from Outlander, and there are several surprises midway into the movie which change the course of the rather predicable plot. Within the final moments of the final scene you know exactly what's going to happen and that's not fun, but as i said before, the mid movie surprises make it a solid watch at least once.
