People Just Do Nothing: Big in Japan (2021)
Not what I expected
I was a little bit disappointed after watching this film. It is still funny, but not as funny as the series.
The biggest let downs of the film (for me) is that there just wasn't enough of Chabuddy and Miche, two essential characters. Chabuddy is not only being left out by the band and its new management in the movie's plot, but this also reflect on the movie itself. Same with Miche whos veing left at home, and so her character is also absent. Same for Rochelle. Finally, the entire movie didnt feel like being about Korupt FM but about the new band, Bang Boys.
Coffee & Kareem (2020)
A movie you watch only once.
The whole concept is actually a good idea. But the execution is very poor. There are a few very obvious plot holes, some lines are just too cringy or forced. At times I actually wondered why certain scenes didn't just get deleted from the final cut. And in the end, the casting wasn't done very well - mainly for the kid which is way too gansta to be believable. Its simply that kind of movie that you watch once, and then you can forget about it.
The 'Burbs (1989)
No punchlines
Great idea to make this movie. However however was reaponsible for writing the lines didn't deliver. There are no funny punchlines (it's supposed to be a comedy). Additionally, this could have been a 1h35 mins long movie. But it has been dragged out making it a 2 hours long neutral experience, with only a few giggles here and there.
The Internship (2013)
Good concept - average execution
The poaitives ives of this movie are the concept and actor performance. However the entire storyline was very predictable and clichè, making it a neutral experience.
The Wrong Missy (2020)
Besto comedy of 2020?
Comedies are always hard to score, as everyone has a different sense of humour. But this movie is by far the best comedy in 2020. Made me and my wife laugh through out the whole film. Acting was great, story was enjoyable and unpredictable.
