Let Him Go (2020)
Polarized values of 2 families as metaphor for polarized U$ culture.
Foreshadows the coming lawlessness descending on the U$ with the polarization of values between the 2 families standing in for the polarized values between Trump's Chump Klueless Kristian Kluxxers & rational people.
Rachel Getting Married (2008)
Frightening how few people realize the intensity of what the film is about.
Reading the low rating reviews, I begin to see what a cold & clueless mass of people make up a frightening proportion of humanity. It helps me understand how we have 1/2 the U$ populace supporting a delusional degenerate psychopath as leader who has destabilized what little cohesion was left in the country in the face of a devastating pandemic, whom both he & his Chumps deny is serious or even exists.
Movies like this need to replace what is passed off as education at every level of the schooljail system, which is designed to keep mindless minions just buying, buying, & buying at the bidding of the greedy sleezeball rich owners of the country.
The guilt & regret Kym faces is crushing her from the inside while she is forced to celebrate her sister's day on the outside, 2 incompatible realities she is in no shape to compress into a blended smooth reality. That was NOT a good reentry point from her rehab, & anyone sending her out into that certainly shouldn't be qualified to make such decisions.
Anyone planning to visit family, especially at a sister's wedding, as the point of return from a hospitalization as critical & as self-destructive as what Kym faced must go through months & months of family therapy with ALL MEMBERS PRESENT for any chance of success.
But society is not prepared to comprehend this as all schooling is meant to steer people away from feelings & reality, while child rearing is meant to protect kids from anything remotely real. Rachel, as a Ph.D. in psychology, certainly was not going to a school that should be certified for missing something this obvious.
Phenomenal movie which basically shows the inadequacy of the rehab system for releasing someone with nothing resolved. Difficult to watch thoughout most of it. So intense I didn't even notice that it was filmed with a handheld camera, something which usually drives me up the wall.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020)
World full of morons
Anyone beyond the age of 3 who found anything remotely funny in this travesty or in the previous Borat movie is more intellectually shortchanged than the Trump Chumps. Hollywood has reached a new low. Yes, I loved the way it ridicules the fundamentalcase Klueless Kristian Kluxxers, & that is why it got a 2 rather than a 1 rating.
Dear Frankie (2004)
Masterful!
Superb storytelling, intense sense of mystery, powerful emotions, & convincing acting, all masterfully blended into the smoothest of movies. This is the kind of movie-making that engages genuine human concerns & reveals the power of love on so many different levels. Gems like this are too rare.
Estiu 1993 (2017)
Clueless viewers.
It's really sad & not promising for humanity when people view a magnificent film like this & call it boring. It shows how our society, & especially school & the unconscionable entertainment industry, cater to the lowest levels of human nature, ignoring the pain, the love, & the good that we have but often don't know how to share or express.
Films like this can provide a genuine education at any level, with teachers serving as discussion leaders to help children express their pain, deal with their fears, & learn to appreciate one another while dealing with their differences & becoming supportive rather than competing, dominating, or constantly defeating one another as the morally bankrupt western civilization teaches them now.
