Scream (2022)
ITS A SCREAM BABY!!!!!
Scream franchise dominated the late 90's early 2000's, and I scratching my head about this installment of the franchise, but this movie delivered..... I do see more installments of this franchise, but without the Big 3........
The Challenge (1998)
This Season of the Challenge should be called CT can't carry the show by himself.
As a lifelong Challenge fan from the first challenge when Real World cast members from different season drove a RV across country (Yes that was how the challenge started and it was on at the same time Road Rules aired), to my personal favorite challenge season Rivals 2, the challenge has seen a deep decline in entertainment. The reason why the challenge is not entertaining anymore is mostly due to the cast! MTV needs to work on bring back or in people that its audience will recognize, this season of Spy's was bad, 85% of the cast was either new or somebody that pretty much not worth TV time. CT, Cory, Amber, Amanda and newcomer Emily (The Rapper) are pretty much the only individuals that audiences can relate too, the others from this season are pretty much attention seekers looking to extend their 15 minutes of fame and 20 minutes of social media fame. Fessy, Josh, and Tori are pretty much "Puppy Dogs" to the show, and you can tell they have some type of political power with productions and the newcomers from this season are "Dreadful" to watch. Maybe it time to face it this show is not for me anymore and All Stars is more of a show for me to watch since those cast members are what I've been used to watching. This season of the challenge is only 4 out 10 Porkchops watchable.
Fatherhood (2021)
Kevin Harts best acting to date
Yes, Kevin Hart finally delivered a acting performance not a comic trying to be a actor. The movie started off on a depressing note, which could of been written totally different. It was some scenes where Kevin hair kept changing which was funny, good supporting cast not bad for Netflix, but 1 movie that you watch once and don't have to watch again!
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Starship Troops for Social Media
This movie was a merger of Starship Troops, Aliens, and Chris Pratt. Keeps your attention but everything in this film you have already seen before. Its not bad that its on Amazon but 1 of those films you watch once and don't have to worry about watching again.
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
This movie was all over the place
Good to see Angelina Jolie back in action films, but thank you HBO MAX for streaming this film, if I saw this film in the movie theaters it would of of been a big waste of money. To many plot twist in this film. Once again glad this was on HBO MAX, because paying to see this in the movie theater would of been a big disappointment. 4 out of 10 Porkchops.
Mortal Kombat (2021)
Mortal Kombat??????
The fight scenes was okay, better than any other fight scene from Mortal Kombat movies, but the storyline was terrible. Hopefully the sequel is much better.
Judas and the Black Messiah (2021)
Very Good film from start to finish
This film was everything I thought it would be and then more! All the actors and actresses in this film did a fantastic job!
Coming 2 America (2021)
Coming 2 Streaming is what it should of been called
Well after 30 years of hype Coming 2 America is a movie designed for streaming services! If I paid money to see this film at AMC or IPic theaters I would be upset, but since we are in a uncharted times this film is a streaming movie. This film had its ups and downs from the start and seemed rushed at times. The chemistry between Eddie and Arsenal is still there and what kept my attention was watching Eddie Murphy and Wesley Snipes on screen chemistry as well, something that I wished I saw in the 90's! Original casts members and characters was nice to see, but at times was pointless to the film! New cast members was a waste of time, they should of found a bigger star to play the son of King Akeem like Michael B Jordan, John David Washington, Daniel Kallua, etc would of made a better fit, way better than whoever that guy was! Lesie Jones once again was NOT FUNNY and her role was ridiculous and pointless the same goes for Tracy Morgan. It's hard for comedies to have good sequels and this film is proof of that theory so I give Coming 2 America 6 out of 10 PorkChops
P.S. You can't recreate magic from the past, sometimes Originals don't need Sequels!!!!!!
Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell (2021)
Learn more about Christopher Wallace the man
As a huge fan of 90's hip hop music one of the biggest stars was the Notorious BIG.... BABY BABYYYYY. This documentary tells the story of Christopher Wallace from his Jamaican roots as a child, how he started his musical career learning from a Jazz musician in his neighborhood of Brooklyn New York, to a life in crime that friends and family feared for Christopher, to becoming one of the biggest names in the history of music by his tragic death at the age of 24. At first, you will say " Another Biggie film, didn't they already make a movie about him called Notorious"? Yes, but this documentary is told by not childhood friends, family, Junior Mafia ( A group Biggie started that features Lil Kim), Sean Pufffy Combs, Ms. Wallace (Biggie Mother), and Biggie's 97 year old Grandmother. This documentary is okay for 90 minutes so I'll give it 7 Porkchops out of 10.
