Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
Did we watch the same movie??
Have most of these reviews been compensated for? All of these 8-10 reviews must have been generated by Disney. Very disappointed. The sound track is horrible compared to the first two, not that there aren't a couple of good tunes in it, just not enough.
Let me put it this way, if GotG 1 and 2 was the original Star Trek, this would be Star Trek: The Motion Picture. You're glad there's more Guardians, but damn! It just comes up short. The camaraderie isn't there.
I hope Disney interfered with the movie James Gunn was going to write, because this falls horribly short of the first two movies. Watch this on streaming or DVD, that way you can fast forward thru the s**t scenes. About 40 minutes too long.
Head (1968)
The best 'anti-drug' campaign ever! Pity it was never used.
When I first saw this movie back when I was 12, I thought it was great. After watching it again some 30 years later-- What the HELL was I on back then?! To quote 'The Critic'- It STINKS! Before I watched it for the second time, I always wanted to see it again and edit so it would be in the correct order. After the second time,I don't think it would help.
My jaw hit the floor when I noticed that Jack Nicholson helped write it. What a waste of talent.
Get the soundtrack. Enjoy. Then have your kids watch the movie and warn them that this is what happens when someone's on drugs.
Kiss Symphony (2003)
You'll love it.
Having seen Kiss in concert twice, I didn't see the need for Kiss to play with the MSO, but once they started playing it was great. I wish I could have been there in person. Watching the Melbourne Symphony 'rockin out' on Rock and Roll All Night was a blast. I would have liked to see Ace performing on it, but Tommy Thayer did a fine job. Watch it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Murder in Coweta County (1983)
Very well acted 40's era movie. Cash and Griffith are great.
Based on a true story, this 1940's era movie tells of the Kingdom, where in Meriwether county John Wallace (Griffith) can do no wrong- until he kills a white sharecropper for stealing one of his prized cows in Coweta county.
"But you didn't kill him in Meriwether, you killed him across the line, with eight Coweta witnesses and a sheriff that won't quit."--Meriwether county sheriff speaking to Wallace about Coweta county sheriff- Lamar Potts. Johnny Cash plays Sheriff Lamar Potts, a lawman who isn't one of Wallace's men and doesn't care about his kingdom so he sets out to prove that Wallace can't get away with murder in his county.
On a scale of 1-10, I give Murder in Coweta County a 9.
