Game of Thrones: Beyond the Wall (2017)
It was exciting but could've been better
When I first watched this episode I thought it was really amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The second time watching it though I realized there are so many issues with it. I don't understand how they didn't all die when the entire night king's army was surrounding them. If he brings winter and cold then couldn't he have just frozen the water surrounding them? Makes no sense why he didn't do that. Also the white walkers were not as terrifying as they have been in the past. I remember watching Hardhome and being utterly horrified by the white walkers. It just didn't feel the same in this episode and that was really disappointing. Over all though I would give this episode an 8/10 cuz it definitely kept the suspense and was visually mesmerizing.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Such a disappointment
I have so many issues with this episode that I'm just gonna write what I wish would've happened.
First of all I would've at least changed the lighting so we can actually see what's going on. I had to watch this at night with absolutely no lights on to be able to see what was going on. GOT has had other night battles where we can see what's happening so what happened during this episode?
Next I would've had bran do at LEAST SOMETHING. Like Hodor and Jojen pretty much died for nothing. Bran's a warg so why couldn't he have done something with one of Dany's dragons or with Ghost?? Like come on he just sat there while everyone died around him.
Jon should've finally come face to face with the night king. That was built up over such a long time and all Jon did the whole time was try to not get killed by the dragon and fly around trying not to get killed either. He literally did nothing.
The night king should've won. I really wanted to see the night king go south and attack kings landing. That would've been so amazing. I also really wanted Cersei to actually see just how terrifying the white walkers and their army are so that maybe she would finally think about someone other than herself and her family. I think if the night king won then everyone would have retreated to king's landing and there would be a huge battle at kings landing. Like so much buildup for the night king and his army and he gets killed so quickly... makes no sense at all.
Next I would've had more main characters die. The fact that Sam, Brienne, Jon, Tyrion, dany, Sana'a, Arya, the Hound, and Jamie all live just doesn't make sense to me. As much as I wouldn't want them to die it should've happened because that's just what GOT does.
All in all I really think this show deserved at least 10 seasons in total. There was so much potential and it was so rushed. I'm really disappointed because I love this show so much and wanted so bad for it to have an amazing ending. Really sad that we didn't get to see that...
Game of Thrones: The Door (2016)
Still sobbing
Wow. This episode was definitely one of the best of GOT. I can't even believe what I just saw. To think that a character you thought was so simple has a deeper meaning to them.... I mean no words for it. Hodor was the hero we didn't know we needed.
Game of Thrones: Hardhome (2015)
INCREDIBLE
Absolutely one of the greatest episodes of GOT. The white walkers were so terrifying and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. They played this episode out so well and showed just how much of a threat to humanity the night king and his army are. Everything about this episode was incredibly and one of my favorite scenes in cinematic history.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Amazing..... until the end
If it weren't for season 8 I 100% would've given this a 10/10 but because of the utter monstrosity that was season 8 I have to give it 9/10. Seasons 1-6 were absolutely incredible and hands down the best thing I've ever seen on television. Season 7 was okay but could've been way better. Season 8 was a complete slap in the face to all GOT fans. I just finished rewatching the entire series and struggled to finish season 8 cuz it pissed me off so much. So much potential and it was ruined by bad writing. I would definitely recommend watching seasons 1-7 but be prepared for how much of a let down season 8 is.
