Wish I had come across this series earlier but glad I did while browsing All 4 comedy. Not sure if it had anything to do with Paul's (R. I. P) condition or the script writers but if the series was only series 1-3 it would literally be the best thing I've watched in a while. The 1st 3 seasons were absolutely hilarious but then from 4-6 it lost its humour and became a bit of a chore to watch. Just people sitting around a table speaking. Not really sure what happened. But the cast were all amazing and I plan on rewatching the earlier seasons again. Season 1-3 would have been 8 stars for me. Great comedy.

How to Become a Tyrant
(2021)
I enjoyed it
20 January 2023
As someone who is an "inquisitive empath", I really enjoyed this little series because it was enough for me to gain insight into these individuals but not to heinous to where I would feel emotionally heavy. It's not the most detailed documentary series but it's enough just for anyone who would like a little more information on these tyrants. I do like the layout of the series but I think part of it is like a playbook and that's somewhat uncomfortable considering some still exist to this day and it could inspire individuals and act as a how to guide. Nonetheless, I would like to see another season of this series.
A Naija Christmas
(2021)
Enjoyable
25 December 2022
I finally watched this movie and had high hopes as a West African because I believe the characters in our family are just hilarious and it would be fun to see the dynamics on screen. I really enjoyed this movie. Very lighthearted, funny and romantic. Although a mean character , Linda Osifo was also very pretty. I hope to see more West African films on Netflix to highlight that we are more than what is usually shown on tv and we have unique family dynamics. I would definitely recommend this film to watch during Christmas and there were many funny relatable moments especially for those of us from W. Africa <3.
The Woman King
(2022)
Enjoyable
18 December 2022
I enjoyed the film mostly because of the aesthetics. The clothing , landscape and cast were beautiful and truly reflects the beauty of Africa which many do not get to see. I know such a black female centred film can trigger many since misogynoir is rampant in our society but it was refreshing and I hope more stories of African women can be told on the big screen however I would have preferred if this wasn't based on slavery and could have been more lighthearted about a warrior school for girls or something similar. I definitely recommend it , if not for the story , definitely for just how it looked.
Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls
(2022– )
Go Lizzo!
25 September 2022
I support Lizzo and so decided to give this show a go because as a Black Woman even with a conventionally accepted body we still face so much misogynoir so I can only imagine what bigger women deal with.
It's great that women on the bigger side can get inspiration from this show and see that they too can fulfil their dreams. Most of these women have probably tried everything in the book to be smaller and that can take such a tool on a woman's self esteem to feel like she'll never be able to do what she wants because of her weight or looks. I'm sure a lot of bigger young girls who felt helpless are inspired by this show.

I Am Georgina
(2022–2023)
Nice girl but not worthy of a show
25 June 2022
The best way to describe it is Georgina seems nice and Ronaldo seems to love her. They have adorable kids but they show was somewhat boring and she is not worthy of a show.
It's funny because afterwards I watched JLO's halftime show and watching her train and sweat to put on a show made me realise that it's the J'Lo's and Beyoncé's who actually work hard and have a talent to show the world who are worthy of a show and inspire young girls.
Nothing wrong with dating a rich man whatsoever but you're not worthy of a show just for dating someone. Pointless show.

Phoenix Rising

She needs justice

It's evident that many people don't understand how vulnerable an 18 year old is or how manipulation can make someone do things that are wrong. MM is a sicko and I think the doc was great at highlighting the many facets of abuse. I hope MM's in jail by the end of the year for what he did to ERW and all those other women.

Kenya is beautiful
27 August 2020
I'm a fan of Kenya Moore from RHOA & it was great to see her younger. She's always been beautiful. In terms of the movie, I think the storyline was really good but the acting was a bit poor and their were too many tropes. I feel like if a Jordan Peele redid this without the comical scenes, it would be really good
Black Love
(2017–2022)
Cute show
25 August 2020
Very cute show and hopefully puts an end to some stigma. I think society isn't aware that the so called marriage statistics surrounding Black American women is because they do not sit through disrespect and a man disregarding his vows. Society will look at Asians or other communities as models of marriage but in these Asian, Arab communities, the women just endure their men visiting brothels and all sorts. Society is very skewed on what a successful marriage actually is, not just longevity but respect. Hopefully AA women are aware of this and do not let society label them
Race in America: A Movement Not A Moment
(2020 TV Special)
The don't care
25 August 2020
Many non black people are suffering in their own lives and see a few rich black ppl so it's hard for them to put themselves in the shoes of most African Americans and the systematic racism we face. It's unfortunate but I think the AA community should just close off more and focus on themselves because few ppl care about anyone but themselves
