Bowling for Columbine (2002)
Anyone who calls this a documentary, much less great, is ignorant
Michael Moore became famous for taking on GM up in Flint Michigan. Flint Michigan has been in the top 10 most dangerous cities for the last 10-15 years. Why doesn't Mike go up to Flint and confront the thugs that prowl that city about gun violence? Because he's a fat gutless twerp. Instead, he shoots scenes and then presents them totally out of context and twisted. Meanwhile, a bunch of liberal twits howl about what a great documentary this when in fact it does not qualify as a documentary. I'd like to see Mike go down to my old neighborhood in Detroit and confront the gang bangers about their use of firearms and killing each other. He won't because they'd either shoot him or kick his lard butt the 80 miles back to Flint. Mikes mockery of those he doesn't agree with delights the deluded airheads that comprise his core supporters, a bunch of stupid white liberals.
Troubleshooters (1959)
Bob Mathias - Troubleshooters
Bob Mathias was indeed an Olympic Decathlon Champion (1948 and 1952). He was only 17 when he won the first gold medal. He also served in Congress from 1966 - 1974 as a Representative from California.
I have been unable to find copies of the television show anywhere. For anyone who is interested, there was a comic book based on the series and I've seen them for sale on eBay from time-to-time.
I find it interesting that most of the guys who've commented on this show were very young at the time the show was aired and shared the same interest in playing construction worker in the dirt and snow. I was only 5 and their experiences are exactly the same as mine.
