Heartbeat: Flesh and Blood (1999)
probably the best episode of the series
Old rogue Claude Jeremiah Greengrass at his best. With his newest business venture, he really tops it off. Typically Greengrass, his idea does not lack inventiveness and creativity. Naturally, things turn out differently.
Mike Bradley and his colleagues get to solve a real mystery, and Aidensfield its its old self.
I really enjoyed this episode very much. In fact, it was this episode that made med want to see all of Heartbeat.
It can be debated who is the best village bobby but as a TV-show Heartbeat never felt more natural than in Mike Bradleys days.
Skrål (2003)
children experimenting with music and sound
Skrål with music producer Halfdan E. (known for producing Dan Turell's finals CDs) centers around children's eager to experiment with music and sounds. It does not produce fancy child stars or hits. Exactly this is the program's strength. Children can try to experiment with music, noting more, certainly no less. The show is produced for an audience who does not buy CDs or merchandise at all. Most of the songs can be watched in Danish Radio's page, though.
My daughter (almost 4) enjoys these small stories and songs about children's favorite toys.
The show has nothing in common with reality TV!
DR jul med Sigurd (2004)
good family entertainment
Recurring Christmas event, both for families in Copenhagen and throughout the country. Every year, Danish Radio broadcasts a program with musician and children's entertainer Sigurd Barrett as host.
Apart from the host, the cast consists of two choirs and Danish Radio's symphony orchestra. Besides, there are various surprise guests, both children's TV characters and musicians.
Every year, he manages to present both classical and children's music to a broad audience. We look forward to the program every year, and even tape it to watch it again and again. This year's program is no exception.
Highly recommended!
Sigurds bjørnetime (1998)
wonderful Children's TV
Musician and comedian Sigurd Barrett hosts a series of half-hour programs for pre-school children. Each program begins with the host choosing a tie suitable for the occasion. Then, the young viewers are confronted with various topics--one for each show--and thus get to know both popular ans classical music.
Barrett always has a co-host: Bjørn, a plush bear. As the program draws to its end, Bjørn always falls asleep as Barrett reads the fake evening news.
Danish music schools have been overcrowded for years now, thanks to the Sigurd-effect.
