For All Mankind: The Grey (2021)
Nothing like a bit of speculative fiction ...
Wow! The writing, the acting, the direction (with one exception which will be shared), the settings, all of it is excellent! The lone exception is the lighting. The lack of visibility (the first law of lighting design) is distracting, which diminishes the production. Yes, you in the back, I've already adjusted my screen and the result was worse. I hope this improves in the next season.
For All Mankind: Rules of Engagement (2021)
Glad I found this
Enjoying For All Mankind. Speculative history is one of favorite genres. The characters are believable and interesting. The scenarios are compelling. I was 14 when Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the Moon. One area of growth is the visibility. Forty years ago, I was a set and lighting designer. I did this for 11 years. The first rule of stage and film lighting is visibility. If the lighting is noticeable, then it detracting from the performance.
Star Trek: Picard: The End Is the Beginning (2020)
Slow burn.
Enjoying this version of Star Trek. A mystery. Beats the hell out of Discovery (OMG - the whispering). The first three hours of a series is chock full of expository content. The characters are relatable. The only downside is the is a tinge of the melodrama but this is a characteristic of previous installments.
Enterprise: Future Tense (2003)
Even a stop watch is correct 2 times a day.
The time travel episodes are excellent IMHO. Loops happen. We're going to need more time! Say it again. How many times have we done this?
Nice nod to Heinlein's The Number of the Beast.
Star Trek: Voyager: The Voyager Conspiracy (1999)
WTF!
7 of 9 overloads on future versions of Fox and Qanon and falls into a conspiracy theory pit. Janeway tosses her a rope. An interesting episode. The rumors run rampant on the Voyager.
Succession (2018)
WTF!
Not one single character is likable! Watched enough episodes to realize there is absolutely nothing worth watching. Why did this show receive a green light?
Big Sky (2020)
Shark
The Shark has been jumped! There is an 80% or higher probability this show doesn't get a 3rd season. Don't blame the actors, they are doing the best they can with defective writing and directorial decisions. Oh; and the crazy state police officer has a twin brother!
