The Sky is Pink - 2019
The Sky is Pink is the entry into the list of movies that are made to make you emotional, cry, more cry and yet smile. The rare piece of work is based on the true story, and on a serious note, it is very hard to stop yourself from crying.
In starting only, we know the whole story and the main stuff, but it is amazingly written and narrated that it makes it more interesting by the time it keeps going. The efforts made by the parents of born with disease child to save her and give her every possible happiness cannot be shown better then this, and what makes it more perfect is the narration by the dead child character describing the past events in so chilled style. This is one of the movies which went through a hell lot of serious story but with a chilled smiley narration. This is an amazing example of good writing. Parents played by Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra Jonas is again well created at different intervals of time at different places, also the best work is the narration by the character Aisha. Also, the music is one of the best of the year and added great value to the movie, specially the song - Dil hi to hai. And special mention to the location and makeup as well, good job.
All in all, The sky is pink is one of the rare movie that can make you cry and smile very easily. Hats off to the Director Sonali Bendre and the team. Also, the visuals just before the end credits must not be missed, showing the real photos and videos of those real life events and characters.
