Morbius (2022)
Good movie to side watch while doing other things
A vampire movie without blood (little blood), mediocre CGI, terrible writing, even worse acting and god-awful characters. I cannot believe that superhero movies have returned to their terrible ways. This equation can only get you so far, and with all these negative aspects I think it might be the worse thing I have watched along with Venom. These funny one off cops or detectives are becoming tiresome as well.
I sincerely suggest movies like this should be targeted for the adult audience, since 2 vampires killing people on will needs some kind of adult-worthy content. Everything feels flat when people try to take out the content to replace it with cringeworthy pg-13 content. Especially that dance scene was absolute garbage.
Yes I do agree with people saying it can keep you busy for a while but I don't think people should waste their time. Or side-watch this movie while doing something useful.
The Mandalorian (2019)
This is just pure greatness!
Not only is this the best TV series of a famous universe it actually delivers. Although without a great story, the series keeps the drama and action alive throughout its episodes.
The cast choices are wonderful, Pedro Pascal like all his other works, kills his role even though you don't see his face for most of the series.
Acting although wonky at times, is enjoyable, nothing was god awful.
The settings, costumes and the CGI is top notch, you never feel the disappointing low budget production of some of the other popular TV series.
Dialogues are fun especially the storm troopers, also their ability to hit something with a blaster is mocked 4th wall engagement woot!
The score is also amazing.
This might and probably is the best thing after the acquisition of SW universe by Disney. I hope they keep this up!
Bodyguard (2018)
Very good but falls short at the end
From the gripping first few minutes to the boring few, the show always had me wondering "whats next?" The 6-episode serie is well paced and the amount of episodes is more than enough to convey the story.
Although the biggest downfall for me was the ending which had some not-so-good moments, especially the last bit of acting by Nadia. The show looks like it stays faithful to how police and security services operate, but at some critical points it had me scratching my head.
The sound especially captivated me as David Budd went through his mental instabilities. The acting was incredible most of the time, Keeley Hawes and Richard Madden were convincingly good.
