Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022)
Lasershow for Kids
Positive: SRK Cameo
Negatives: Poor screenplay
Worst dialogues ever in the history of Bollywood
Pathetic storyline
VFX looks like to have been made via an android app
One of the dialogues that made me go berserk was from Mouni Roy to SRK, "Kya aap Raftaar ki gati ko hara sakte ho?" I was like WTF!
Poor screenplay
And what I never understood is Bollywood's keeda to put a cringe love story into everything and overemphasise it. The movie was about Brahmastra but hardly has any material related to it. It should have been renamed to Premastra and sold as a stupid typical Bollywood love story
All in all a mental torture of the worst sorts.
Bachchhan Paandey (2022)
Unbearable 1st half, average 2nd half, overall a big NO
Makers didn't realise that Indian audience is not the same that would clap, cheer and whistle on some over the top, stupid action sequence which seem more like comedy circus. Time for this kind of stupid crap is over now, audience demands content driven cinema. This is one of many typical superstar Bollywood movies with 0 content, jokerish action sequences and intolerable acting. If you are an Akshay Kumar fan, better don't waste money on it and watch it on telegram or something, it's already available there.
The Silence of Swastika (2021)
Simply a masterpiece no one should miss
If I say it is one of the best documentaries made in the history of modern India, it won't be even a slightest exaggeration. Given the fact that it was the debut film for the director with no background in movie making, they did a marvellous job! One can clearly see through the amount of gruelling effort that has been put in this project. It's one of the very few documentaries that gives an edge of the seat experience. Watch it at all costs(though there is no cost, it's totally free on YouTube). The best we could do is to share it with our friends and make as many people watch it as possible.
State of Siege: Temple Attack (2021)
You are literally engrossed for the entire duration
Everything about this movie is sooooo damn perfect that you would enjoy watching every single bit of it. The entire cast has done a fantastic job but Akshay Khanna hits it out of the park!
However, the biggest performer in this movie is the direction and the script. It is one of the thousand other forgotten terrorist attacks in the history of independent India. When you watch the temple being attacked and innocent people being mercilessly slaughtered it sends chills down your spine. You feel every moment of fear and trauma that the victims must have gone through. The attention to detail is impressive beyond imagination. Even though it's based on true event, the plot is so thrilling that it would definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. It's high time that the Indian film industry comes out with more such films based on true events so that they can do justice to our history. It's a must watch for everyone. Watch it alone or with your family however you like but do watch it!
Bhaag Beanie Bhaag (2020)
What can you expect in a show with a C grade actress Swara
There is no storyline
Swara as usual justifies her tag of a C grade actress
